Volume 44 Spring 2016 Issue No. 1 Welcome Shelly to the Nebraska Women s Amateur Golf Association Teresa s Tidbits By Teresa Snoozy, President I would like to thank Maddy Toepfer for serving as our Executive Director for the last four years. We wish her well in her new endeavor. We just had our Spring Meeting of the NWAGA representatives at Kearney Country Club and enjoyed a scramble after our meeting. We had 108 ladies at our scramble and a beautiful spring day. As we were playing we could hear cheers ring out around the golf course as teams made a long putt for a birdie or whatever the case. Isn t that what this is all about? Golfing with friends, making new friends, having fun, playing new courses, refreshments after golf, and a drive home with your group talking and laughing about the day. Playing well and winning a flight are icing on the cake we call Golf. We don t want others to miss all this fun so invite your members that do not belong to join NWAGA. We have a great line up of summer tournaments and 5 of them are partner or team events NWAGA s New Executive Director Shelly Liddick is our new Executive Director. Shelly has been the golf coach at Bellevue University for 6 years. The Bellevue Women s Golf Team is headed to the NAIA National Championships May 17-20 at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Savannah, Ga. Shelly is a fourth generation Nebraskan and played college golf at University of Alabama Birmingham. She also played on the Futures Tour and Central Florida Tour. Shelly starts May 2. Please welcome Shelly when you see her this summer at our tournaments. Shelly is married and has two daughters.
