County Roundup This year s County 4-H Roundup will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Be thinking about topics for Educational Presentations and Share-The-Fun contests. More information will be coming after the County Stock Show. Consumer Decision Making Project I am looking for smart, savvy kiddos to form Consumer Decision Making teams!! This is a great project because it teaches real world skills that as older teens, college students, and adults we use every single day. This project is designed to teach kids to observe, compare and make consumer based decisions based on facts. For the contest, teams of 3-4 members individually use their consumer knowledge to rank similarly based products to fit a given scenario. Kids learn to organize their thoughts and to defend their decisions in oral reasons. If you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible. The district contest is March 2nd! ~ Brianne P.S. Mom & Dad: There is BIG SCHOLARSHIP money to be won as senior 4-H ers in this contest at several major stock shows. Juniors, Intermediates, or Seniors, it s never too late to get started in this project to get better for the future. Quote of the Month: Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character. - T. Alan Armstrong -

Congratulations! On Monday, December 3, 17 youth representing four teams from Hood County participated in the District 8 4-H Food Challenge competition in Belton.
