Introduction Thank you for the opportunity to present the benefits available from a strategic partnership with Altona Hockey Club Inc. Altona Hockey Club is a not-for-profit organisation that is one of the premier clubs of Hockey Victoria and a huge sporting presence in the City of Hobson s Bay. We currently have over 300 playing members competing in 22 teams registered in the men s, women s, junior and masters competitions. This brochure contains valuable information about Altona Hockey Club Inc. and the range of partnership opportunities available through sponsorship. The History of Altona Hockey Club Altona Hockey Club was established in 1932. Since this time we have maintained a strong sporting presence in Altona and the broader Hobson's Bay Community. As a sport, hockey is in the unique position of being able to offer full family participation, with teams for men, women, boys and girls and open to all age groups from Hook in2 Hockey (an introduction to hockey program for young children) through to open age and masters players. 3
Strong junior growth at Altona Hockey Club is ensured by a well-organised School Hockey Development Program and junior hockey clinics. Our junior teams have approximately 150 registered players. There are currently 12 junior teams a Hook in2 Hockey program and an U8 Intra-Club competitionat the AHC, with further growth anticipated in the coming years. We work extremely hard in ensuring that our junior players are nurtured and encouraged to make the transition to senior hockey, and are extremely proud of our home grown players in our senior and elite ranks. Our club has a strong family focus that encourages participation at all levels of endeavour whether it be playing hockey, organising activities or enjoying each other's company. To further develop members, the club provides guidance and tuition within umpiring and coaching roles. These opportunities build leadership, responsibility, trust and commitment within our ranks. We are proud of our history in producing representative players, coaches, umpires and administrators. Over a number of years, we have had juniors, seniors and masters players selected in zone, state and national teams. 4

To continue to be a community minded club with our members supporting local charities. To win Premier League championships and to continue developing state and national players. Why Altona Hockey Club? We are the premier hockey club in the City of Hobson s Bay and one of the top clubs in the state. Established in 1932, we have 80 years of history on our side. We are an active member of Hockey Victoria. We have 22 registered teams across junior, senior and masters competition. We have over 300 individual playing members and 50 social members. We compete in the highest junior and senior competitions in the state. Leaders in the online space with a committed weekly newsletter readership of consistently over 250 readers, 680 likes on our Facebook page with high rates of participation, over 800 followers on Twitter, 1,500 on Instagram and over 13,000 views on our YouTube channel. We have produced and continue to produce local hockey players who have represented the state and Australia. We produce coaches and administrators who are leaders in the sport in Victoria. We are focused on building strong relationships with players, coaches, members and the community. We value family participation and provide opportunities for men, women, boys and girls of all abilities. We are community minded and support charities important to our members. 6

Sponsorship Packages for 2016 Individual Player Sponsor We offer the opportunity for businesses and individuals to sponsor any of our players, junior or senior. The cost to sponsor a senior player is $200.00 per player. (GST inclusive). The cost to sponsor a junior player is $150.00 per player. (GST inclusive). Each individual player sponsorship includes: Sponsorship features: A reduction of the individual player s membership fees by: $100 (senior player) or $50 (junior player) Recognition on Sponsors page of AHC website Acknowledgement of your sponsorship on sponsor s board displayed in clubrooms Access to club newsletter (distributed weekly to all members during the winter season) Certificate of Appreciation 9
How your support is distributed The Altona Hockey Club considers all funds coming into our club as being integral to the running of the club and to ensure a strong future for both our players and members. Facilities Development We are embarking on an ambitious program to redevelop our facilities over the next 5 years. The first project is a redevelopment of our change rooms and toilet facilities. The project is for the benefit of current and future players, our spectators and all visiting spectators. Maintaining Affordable Membership Fees We pride ourselves on offering the most affordable membership fees available, especially for junior members. Attracting and maintaining members is vital to the growth and success of our club. Minimizing the cost of membership makes the Altona Hockey Club a more viable option for a wider range of participants in the Hobsons Bay community.
