Halloween Dress as your Future Career ONLY ANNOUNCEMENTS RED RIBBON WEEK Next week is. Along with the dress up days our school will be focusing on Anti-bullying techniques and ways and reasons to be and stay Drug Free. 5 th Grade Symphony Field Trip 5 th Grade will be going to the Symphony Tuesday, October 25 th. If you haven t turned in your permission slip, please do so Monday morning. Remember to dress your BEST!!! BIG SURPRISE PRIZE DAY! We want EVERYONE at school on this day Friday, October 28 th! We will be giving away prizes and have surprises ALL day long. So students wear pink and come to school for a GREAT chance to win some awesome stuff! Halloween Please note: the students are allowed to dress up at school on Monday, October 31 st for Halloween. However, this year s theme is Dress as your Future Career. If your child would like to participate, please make sure their costume is tailored to what they want to be when they grow up. Always remember, there are no masks or weapons allowed at school, and absolutely no clown costumes.

CSI PTA China Spring Intermediate PTA has 160 members signed up as of now, and 75 of that 160, are students. With around 670 students in the school, we had hoped for a lot more involvement this year. We encourage parents, students, and teachers to sign up to help make our PTA successful in supporting our school this year. Food for Families We will be starting the Food for Families Monday, Oct 17 th. Please help us make this year s food drive a successful one! We will be collecting food from Monday, Oct 17 th Friday, Nov 11 th. Here is a list of items that are needed: Fall Benchmarks Just a friendly reminder that Fall Benchmark testing is around the corner. Attendance is very important during this time, so make sure your child is here for these tests. The dates for testing is November 7th, 8th, & the 15 th. PIRATES OF PENZANCE The China Spring Theater department will be performing Pirates of Penzance. The 4 th & 6 th grade students at the Intermediate School will be given a chance to attend on November 3 rd. We are asking for each student to bring $1.00 to help with the cost of this fun experience. Public Performances will be Oct. 30th @ 3pm & Nov. 1st, 3rd, & 5th @ 7pm. Please see the attached document for more information and a chance to order tickets and a commemorative t-shirt. Arrrrgggg.

Box Tops for Education The last day for Box Tops this fall will be Thursday, October 27. We will still collect them throughout the year, however for the totals to count this fall we need all of the Box Tops turned in on Thursday! PROCEDURE REMINDERS Please make sure that all haircuts and style are in dress code. There are many haircuts that are out of dress code. Please take care of them as soon as possible. PTA WE NEED YOUR MEMBERSHIP! PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY! Food Truck Festival This year PTA will be hosting another Food Truck Festival. It will be Saturday, October 29 th from 4:30 8:30 at the Intermediate School. A flyer was sent home this week giving information, pre-selling tickets, and asking for volunteers. This bin will earn us extra money all year long for every pound donated. Lots of items can be donated including clothing, shoes, belts, purses, wallets, hats, backpacks, toys, stuffed animals, and pots and pans. So make time to get those donations in! LOST & FOUND All items were donated this week. I am sorry if you have lost something. Please remind your child to check the Lost & Found often as items are donated at the end of every six weeks.
