We are starting a WGA Ambassador Program to encourage players of all abilities to enjoy golf and join the WGA. Like my hat? There are plenty of players who prefer to play for any number of wonderful reasons. We would like to invite you to play a few holes of golf with a WGA Ambassador on Tuesday afternoons starting at about 330 pm for 3-7 holes depending on the player s preference. We can just relax and play or assist with any learning. We really would like to grow the organization and have golf be fun and inclusive for all who love this great game. What s Up with OGA from Eva Corbin Hello Members: Less rain will soon be here so you can get out and enjoy a round or two of golf before the WGA season is in full swing. In the mean time, everyone is planning for a great season! Here s what is happening so far from the OGA. Also check out tournaments at www.oga.org The OGA Women s Inter-club Play (WIP): The WIP program is a four-ball match play competition between clubs for women only. Each match consists of 6 players per club team playing another club s team within their division. The 6 players per team are then divided into pairs to play other club twosomes and matched by handicap. The OGA 2017 Women Inter-club Play schedule is: Match 1 - May 17 @ Pumpkin Ridge GC - 12:30 pm Match 2 - June 19th @ RedTail GC - 9 am Match 3 - July 17 @ Eastmoreland GC - 8:30 am Match 4 - August 21 @ OGA GC - 9 am Match 5 - September 25th @ The Reserve - North Course - Time TBD (pm) Championship & Season-ending Finale: October date to be determined. Once all teams are registered, the OGA will decide which division each club is in for the season. Team captains will be meeting on April 19th to receive additional information and rules. The fee remains the same, $40 to play each match. 6

Minutes from Carla Bolme, Secretary WGA BOARD MEETING 3/6/17 Present were Candye Andrus, Maureen Smith, Carla Bolme and by Face time, Judy Hayes. Maureen is working on the WGA handbook. In the special events section of the handbook, the Creekside events that are open to WGA members will be listed. It was suggested that the by-laws be included in the handbook also. Judy would like all the board members to review their duties as listed in the by-laws. As of this date there are a total of 74 WGA members. Candye has been keeping the website updated. She suggested adding a section on it where members could view the minutes from board meetings and read the by-laws. She also has a calendar section and will keep it current. Maureen will get a flyer ready for the opening event. Candye has made some postcards promoting the WGA and will put them around the club. She also acquired the rules books we decided on and has placed them in the locker room. A tentative date for our first Rules and Rose was reached. Maureen will check with Danny to confirm. Komen co-chairs will be Judy and Candye. We will get a registration and invitation letter out to the surrounding clubs as soon as possible so we can get on their calendars. The starting time for the event will be at 4:15 this year so it can conclude at an earlier hour. The next meeting will be April 17th at 5:45 at Paddington s Pizza. 7
