Pistol Calibre Rifle Practical Competition. Well the weather stayed good and since only eight people turned up I think they thought it was going to rain well shame on you because today was a good one. Simple stages with skittles, targets, no-shoots, 2 targets with one shot and the new target, the '9'. It was the '9' that sorted people out as only three shooters didn't get penalties from it. 16-Apr-17 The results are - 1st - Phil Woods 100% 2nd - Brian Mckie 75.91% 3rd - Pete Brown 69.47% 4th - Stu Faulkner 66.50% 5th - Mark Liversage 65.59% 6th - Steve Evans 64.98% 7th - Tim Wood 56.95% 8th - Pat Allen 41.95% Well done to Phil who thrashed everyone on every stage, anyone would think he

Pistol Calibre rifle 1500 Competition Five shooters turned up today to shoot the comp, only three had guns so thanks to Phil we managed to get everybody through. The Competition is run as the 1500, match 5 so that's 60 rounds at various distances up to 50 Meters and sitting, kneeling, left and right shoulder against the clock. 23-Apr-17 The scores are as follows out of 600-1st - Phil Woods 593 2nd - Stu Faulkner 559 3rd - Mark Liversage 548 4th - Pat Allen 522 5th - Mike Rowland 373 Thanks again to Phil for the gun hire and it's good to see Mike as a regular in the comps. The 1500 is a tricky comp to do so if you fancy a go, give me a shout.

Silhouette competition Pigs @ 60 Mtrs A great turn out today with 16 shooters and fantastic weather as well. Time allowed 120 seconds. 237 Mini Rifle With 15 shooters and great weather in the morning what more could you ask for. The '9' came out again and was as difficult as ever to shoot a clean round. The competition became more about keeping a clean score sheet as Noshoots were being shot and targets that should be weren't. The final results are- 18-Jun-17 1st Mark Liversage 2nd Brian Mckie 3rd Barry Smith 4th Pete Brown 5th Pat Allen 6th Jacob Priestley 7th Steve Evans 8th Stu Faulkner 9th Dom Henry 10th David Frier 11th Jason Wooly 12th Jeremy Scott 13th Neil Smith 14th James Mulagton 15th Carl Atkinson.

Silhouette Turkeys @ 77 Mtr competition Only 10 of the original 17 turned up today but the shooting was still as good as always and its shaken the chase for third place up a bit, 2 minute stage as usual. Results are as follows - 18-Jun-17 1st Mark Liversage - 10 in 80.1 2nd Phil Woods - 9 in 29.6 3rd Chris Priestley - 6 in 61.5 4th Stu Faulkner - 5 in 42.4 5th Carl Atkinson - 4 in 45.1 6th Barry Smith - 4 in 56.7 7th Julie Priestley - 3 in 41.2 8th Mark Lydon - 2 in 35.2 9th Jeremy Scott - 2 in 116.6 10th Sam Lydon - 1 in 86.4 So this has altered the aggregate as follows. 1st Phil Woods - 29 in 73.0 2nd Mark Liversage - 24 in 235.3 3rd Stu Faulkner - 16 in 99.2 4th Chris Priestley - 16 in

PCR Open sights/scoped Round 1, Precision As an attempt to boost numbers for this competition it has been opened up to scoped guns as well as the traditional open sights... alas it didn't go down too well as only 4 competitors showed up. Either way, the 4 that took part had a good time and enjoyed the shoot and company. so to the scores: 18-Jun-17 Open Sights 1st Mark Livasage 2nd Chris Priestley Scoped 1st Mark Liversage 2nd Phil Woods 3rd Julie Priestley so, trophies all round!! maybe the next round will have more shooters :)

V Drill Competition What a great day, 12 shooters took part and the weather held off just long enough to get five rounds in. The score is based on a total time for the five stages plus one second for a miss and five seconds for an out of sequence stage. 25-Jun-17 The results are - 1st Phil Woods 2nd Mark Liversage 3rd Stu Faulkner 4th Pat Allen 5th Mo Goodliffe 6th Barry Smith 7th Brian Mckie 8th Chris Priestley 9th Roland Harrison 10th Pete Brown 11th Julie Priestley 12th Carl Atkinson. Big thanks to all those who helped set up and pack away, it make life so much easier.

.22 Dueling Tree This years competition was attended by 15 shooters and all had a great time with some rapid fire. The tree has had some use over the last few years and could do with replacing but it lasted to the end. 10-Jul-17 You have to feel sorry for Mark Lydon who turned up with one gun that was used by three people, That's a lot of Ammo. So the final results are - 1st Phil Woods 2nd Mark Liversage 3rd Jason Woolley 4th Julie Priestley Joint 5th Stu Faulkner + Bri Mckie Joint 7th Mark Lydon + Barry Smith Everyone else came in 9th

Man v Man PCR Quite a low turnout this year with 9 shooters but a great mornings shooting. 23-Jul-17 We still used the 'J' ladder despite there being so many 'by's' but it all made sense in the end. The results are - 1st Brian Mckie 2nd Phil Woods 3rd Pat Allen 4th Jacob Priestley 5th Stu Faulkner 5th Chris Priestley 7th Geoff Gregory 7th Mark Liversage 9th Julie Priestley A big thank you to all that packed away and a massive thank you to the few that help set up, I can't do it without you. Until next time...stu.

PCR Open sights/scoped Round 2, PP1 Not a bad turn out with 1 shooters and some having a go in both the open and scoped categories so plenty of shooting to be had. The results are - Scoped 1st - Phil Woods 300 2nd - Pete Brown 299 3rd - Mark Liversage 297 4th - Stu Faulkner 290 5th - Pat Allen 286 6th - Jason Wooley 285 7th - Lucian Wooley 256 30-Jul-17 Open sights 1st - Mark Liversage 300 2nd - Pete Brown 299 3rd - Jacob Priestley 297 4th - Barry Smith 292 5th - Chris Priestley 288 6th - Julie Priestley 247 Thanks Pat for running this one and thanks Phil for helping out. 245 Tactical Rimfire Only 8 shooters took part which was a shame as the weather was great but it is a bank holiday. 27-Aug-17 Today's competition consisted of five stages comprising of falling targets, Reactive targets, no-shoots, accuracy and chalks, what more could you want. The score are as follows out of a maximum of 500. 247 PCR Multi Target Competition 1st Jacob Priestley - 378 2nd Pat Allen - 368 3rd Stu Faulkner - 352 4th Mark Liversage - 328 5th Barry Smith - 314 6th Chris Priestley - 188 7th Tony Wade - 155 8th Julie Priestley - 138. 248 Silhouette Rams @ 100 Mtrs So that's the last round of Silhouette's shot for the year forming the aggregate and only leaving the multi target at the end of the year. Eight shooters gave it a go and it was entertaining as always. If you are reading this and have a.22 rifle and are thinking about next year then less thinking and more doing, Come along and have a go at the multi target and see what its all about. 10-Sep-17 The scores are - 1st - Phil Woods 9 in 34.5 2nd - Jacob Priestley 8 in 45.4 3rd - Mark Livesage 8 in 82.6 4th - Stu Faulkner 7 in 27.5 5th - Barry Smith 7 in 49.6 6th - Chris Priestley 7 in 89.8 7th - Jeremy Scott 4 in 33.1 8th - Carl Atkinson 2 in 54.1 So the aggregate for the year and final score - (Out of 40,

LBR/LBP PP1 Competition So that's pretty much it for this year with internal comps... one more I think, but this one was the biggy. LBR and LBP in the same match, wow and what a line up, it doesn't get much more pressured than this. So to scores: 01-Oct-17 LBP 1st Mr Woods 2nd Mr Smith 3rd Mr Faulkner LBR 1st Mr Woods 2nd Mr Smith 3rd Mr Priestley well done to all, it was fun.
