We will inform you when the retreat is rescheduled. FAW Competition Results: This past weekend we had several students represent our school. Our star spellers and basketball and cheerleading athletes made us proud. They powered their way through the rounds and won several contests. Our advanced band received an "excellent" rating for their performance. We also extend a big congratulations to the FAW Destination Imagination teams that competed this weekend at the regional tournament in Edgewater, MD. We had a Rising Stars team, the BFFs (Big Fluffy Flying Squirrels) that received rave reviews in their first year. We are excited to announce that all four of our competitive teams (DInmates, Simply Shrubs, Imaginators, and Supernaturalists) all received 1st place in their categories. Their efforts and hard work have moved them on to the State Competition in Baltimore on April 7th. Thank you to Ms. Francisco, the FAW teachers and families, and especially the team leaders for all their support over the past 5 months. We are very grateful for Mrs. Cacko's dedication to this program and for making school history yet again! Faculty/Alumni vs. 8th Grade Basketball Game: Parents, students and staff all enjoyed a friendly game of basketball last Tuesday. In the final minutes of the game, the 8th graders pulled ahead and won! It was an exciting evening full of big smiles and happy cheering! A total of $889 was raised for Hospice in honor of our beloved, Mrs. Saunders. Thank you!
FAW Casino Night: Thank you to Jason DeLucco, our HSA board, and all the volunteers who worked hard on our Casino Night! A special thank you goes out to all those who came to the event. It was a fun evening! Mission Drive: Our annual mission drive began last Thursday, March 15th and will continue through Friday, March 23rd. This project is held each year during Lent to benefit the mission work of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Kentucky. This order of sisters taught in our school from 1954-2000 and we continue to pray for them and support their efforts. This year, our Mission Drive Theme is: Spreading God s Love One House at a Time! We hope to raise enough funds to build a house in Mrs. Gaston s memory.
