The Leadership Pinellas Class of 2018 is proud to be hosting its first annual golf tournament at Eastlake Woodlands in Oldsmar, FL with 100% of all proceeds going to 2 wonderful local charities. The RCS Story RCS Pinellas has provided help & hope to people in need for 50 years. RCS s mission is to feed the hungry, help families facing homelessness return to self-sufficiency, and empower survivors of domestic violence. Over 130,000 Pinellas County individuals are served annually with dignity to accomplish this mission at the RCS Food Bank, the RCS Grace House, The Haven of RCS, and the RCS Thrift Store. RCS was awarded 2018 Large Charity of the Year by the Clearwater Regional Chamber. The RCS Food Bank provides nutritious food to over 70,000 Pinellas County residents who need help stretching their grocery budget. Over 1 million pounds of food are distributed annually. The RCS Grace House helps individuals and families facing homelessness return to self-sufficiency. This is accomplished through an 8 week program of apartment style housing combined with other wrap-around services. The RCS Thrift Store provides a high quality shopping experience for the community and program participants at little to no cost. The Haven of RCS provides safety, security and support for nearly 17,000 women and children facing domestic abuse annually. RCS Affordable Housing provides comfortable, safe, affordable housing and support to individuals and families. The program includes educational initiatives, financial literacy, workforce and life skill development.
about the foundation The Beth Dillinger Foundation was created in 2007 by Bob and Kay Dillinger in memory of their beloved daughter, Beth. The Beth Dillinger Foundation (BDF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides support and education to youth in need. Four different means of support include: The Beth Dillinger Scholarship Fund, a scholarship endowment available to boys and girls who wish to continue their education, but do not have the funds to achieve that goal Beth's Closet at PACE Center for Girls in Pinellas County, Florida Beth's Corner is a room created at Ready for Life, an organization with a goal to assist youth aging out of the foster care system. The Hope Chest clothes closets located in the Public Defender's Office in Clearwater, New Port Richey, and Dade City Nourish to Flourish, a partnership with the 6th Circuit Public Defender's Office and the Beth Dillinger Foundation to feed chronically hungry children in our area. Remarkably, there are absolutely no administrative costs associated with the BDF. Its officers and directors are volunteers donating their time and effort to support the organization and the children they serve. All donations are earmarked and utilized specifically for the children. Fundraising events and administrative needs to promote the organization are provided by our generous sponsors.
