Please make your guests aware of this. Flags in lawns may only be displayed when the mowers are in the park, and only where new sod has been laid. Fencing of any kind is not permitted without management approval. We welcome all our new residents and encourage them to take part in our functions. We re glad to have you in the Grand Valley family. FLU SHOTS Walgreens will again be coming to Grand Valley to provide flu shots, high dose flu shots and pneumonia shots on Tuesday, November 10 th at 10am. Shingle shots will be available with prior notice. A sign up sheet is in the clubhouse to allow Walgreens immunizations. You ll need a picture ID and your insurance cards. The flu shot is paid for by Medicare. However the Board of Directors will still be meeting on the third Monday of the month during this time in order to discuss and/or solve any problems that may arise. As the 4 th of July rapidly approached us we all should take a moment and enjoy the freedom that we have. As a reminder the 1 st Annual Board of Directors cookout is fast approaching. Please pickup your tickets by June 26 th. Hope to see everyone there. The Florida legislature, (House & Senate), have made changes to Florida Statute 723 The Florida Mobile Home Act which will take effect 1 July 2015. These changes will cause a delay in the re-writing of our bylaws. Two of the major changes are: (1) Quorum; voting requirements; proxies.- unless otherwise provided in the bylaws, 30 percent of the total membership is required to constitute a quorum. At present it is 50% +1 of membership for a quorum. Continues Page 2

Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, members may vote in person at member meetings. At present a Limited Proxy is used for the election of Board members. Effective 1 July 2015 election to the Board will require the member voting to be present at the election no proxies will be accepted. Thick N Thin Our group meets every Tuesday morning from 11 12 at the clubhouse to promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle. We begin with a short meeting where we share ideas, stories, recipes and more. Then, if weight loss is your goal, a scale is provided for a private weigh-in. This is then followed by a period of exercise using the TV and DVD player. Come join us for an hour of good information and great fun. After exercise class there will be a quiet period of medication to music. For more info call Carol McKenna 645-6185 Belmont Stakes Race Event What a fun night crazy hats were made and worn by the woman attending. A special beverage was made that was sampled by most in attendance. A wide variety of snacks were available and shared by all. It was so exciting to see this special horse American Pharoah become a Triple Crown winner while we cheered and watched that great horse do an amazing job getting across that finish line. It is so great having our new T.V. to be able to watch events like this together. Coming soon in July a list of T.V. events we can watch together for the next year. Use of the Pool Whenever you have house guests and they will be using the pool, please make sure that they have the Pool Pass. We are being inundated with residents from Magnolia Valley. All residents should have a pool pass and have their guests take them to the pool when not with a resident. This is a repeat from last month, however we are still receiving complaints.
