MISS LEWIS COUNTY PAGEANT 2012 RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR MISS LEWIS CO. FAIR 1. OPEN STATEWIDE 2. Lewis Co. will award 1 crown in the Miss Category. The highest overall score will be named Miss Lewis Co. Fair and will represent our county at the state fair competition in January, 2013. The Lewis Co. resident with the highest score will receive the Roger Bivens Memorial Scholarship. 3. Contestants will be judged on interview, swimwear, evening gown, and on stage question, taken from interviews. Lewis Co. awards a Winner, 1 st R-UP, 2 nd R-UP, & Miss Congeniality. 4. Application and entry fees must be received no later than July 28, 2012, for the $35.00 entry fee. Late registration will be taken until July 30, with a $10.00 late fee. Entry fees are non-refundable. 5. Rehearsal will be held on Monday., July 30,. at the Lewis Co. High School @ 7:00 P.M. Attendance is NOT mandatory, but numbers will be drawn and the entire production will be run through. (Dress Comfortably) 6. Score Sheets will not be made public and the judges decision will be final. 7. Each contestant will be allowed one (1) person to assist them. Space is limited, so we ask that you strictly adhere to this rule. 8. Hair and Make-up should be as natural as possible. The pageant is held in the auditorium, with lighting, so use your best judgment for onstage appearances. Use 25% less for interview. Interviews will be held on Aug. 4, 2012.. Pageant will be held the same evening, beginning @ 7:00 P.M. Interview times will be determined after applications are received. 9. Contestants must be between the ages of 16-21,by October 31, 2012, single, never married, never had children, and never been convicted of a felony. 10.Lewis County Fair will pay for one room, 2 nights @ State Pageant, and 2 pageant 11. High School This is NOT mandatory, but numbers will be drawn and the entire production will be run through. You may still enter at rehearsal for the fee of $45.00. 3. Teens will be judged on interview, sportswear, evening gown, and onstage question taken from their interviews. Interviews will be held on Aug. 4. The time will be determined after applications are received. Pageant will be held the same evening, beginning @ 7:00 P.M. 4. Contestants will wear cocktail attire for sportswear competition. Please consider your age for appropriate choices. Judges will be instructed to take age into scoring of this category. 5. The Teen Winner will compete at the State Pageant in Louisville in October, 2012.. 6. Lewis County Fair will pay for one room, 2 nights @ State Pageant, and 2 pageant 7. Teen Winner must participate in the parade on Aug. 11, 2012, and be available for other appearances during the fair. 8. You may have 1 person assist you in dressing room. 9. Summer Dress, Dress Slacks, etc. Do not wear jeans, shorts, or casual wear for interview. Use MINIMAL makeup, if any. 4. Sportswear will be a dress or skirt outfit of white, silver, and black or combination of the three. No slacks or pants are permitted. 5. Winner will represent Lewis Co. at the State Pageant in October, 2012. 6. Lewis County Fair will pay for one room, 2 nights @ State Pageant, and 2 pageant 7. Entry Fee and Application must be received by July 28, 2012. ($35). Rehearsal will be held on Mon.. Aug. 30 @ 6:00 P.M. at the Lewis County High School. Late entries will be accepted on this date at a charge of $45.00. 8. Winner will be expected to participate in the parade on Aug. 11 and be available for other appearances during the fair. 9. TINY MISS & LITTLE MISS LEWIS CO. 1. OPEN STATE WIDE. Winners will NOT advance to State Pageant. 2. Contestants will appear in pageant attire and answer on-stage question, which will be given at rehearsal. 3. Winners are expected to participate in the parade on Aug. 11, 2012, and any other event as needed. 4. Score Sheets will not be distributed and the judges decision is final. 5. Deadline for entry fee of $25 is July 28. Rehearsal will be on Mon., July 30, @ 5:30 P.M. at the Lewis Co. High School.. Rehearsal is optional. Late will be accepted the day of rehearsal with a $10.00 late fee. 6. Pageant held on Aug. 3 @ 7:00 PM. 7. All non finalists will receive trophies in Tiny and Little Miss.
