I have enjoyed every minute and look forward to supporting our newest President Milo Wilson. Super Swap XX is getting closer and closer. Scheduled dates are Friday the 8 th and Saturday the 9 th. We have many that have already pre-registered and I feel, as in the past, many will register the day of. Now if the weather will just hold out! If you have volunteered to work a particular job during the swap and have any questions, please contact Penny or Pete. Working together smoothly puts the club in a positive light and will nearly always guarantee success. Thank you to all that have volunteered! Yearly membership dues for 2019 are now being taken. You may mail your payment along with the renewal form (which is on the web) to the Treasurer as stated OR she will happily accept payments at the next club meeting. We are still in need of a Treasurer for 2019. If you are interested in the position please let us know. Any questions you may have and/or assistance to its tasks, Sharon will happily help. Sunny skies prevailed until sunset when we felt Florida s cool temps. The winner of Five Guys First Place award went to Dion Rentos with his 2012 Camaro. The Callagy Tire Award went to a Jeep Vehicle #183. A 5 yr. old little girl talking to her mother asked, Why are you getting gray hair? Well, for every gray hair I get, is the number of times you have made me sad, she replied. Oh my! the little girl exclaimed. What did you do to Grandma! Five Guys 2 nd Place award went to Peter Abbatello with his 1947 Nash Ambassator. The Auto Zone Award went to Paul with his 1934 Plymouth Coup. Page 2 of 7
SOCIAL CALENDAR Marco s Pizza Cruise-in: By Penny Anderson For those Classic Transmission needs call: The Kool Kars Award went to Gordon & Annette Atchison with their 1972 Olds 442 On January 24th, some 23 Mobsters joined together for some delicious pizza along with friendly conversations. The next get together is scheduled for February 28 th. The Club Participation Winner of $25 went to the Jeep Club. They generously gave back to be donated to Second Harvest. The 50/50 winnings of $97 went to Margaret Shannon. She gave back $40 of her winnings to Second Harvest. You may renew at the February 13th meeting OR download the renewal flyer on the MOB website and send it as instructed. If your renewal dues are not received by February 28 th, you will not be receiving a March newsletter. On a sad note By Ray Moyer My son, Michael Moyer, passed away on Dec. 27 th, six days after his 60 th birthday. He had a massive heart attack. He resided in Wellsboro, PA with his wife Lyn. He had two daughters, two step daughters and one son, 7 years old, which was his pride and joy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lyn Moyer, 15 Riberolle St., Wellsboro, PA 16901 for the benefit of Reed Moyer s college fund.
