RE: Varsity Baseball & Softball Fields for Entire Calendar Year This is for the basic turfgrass maintenance of the varsity baseball and softball fields. Deep Core the playing surface with a piston-driven golf greens aerator using 3/4 tines at a spacing of 2.4 by 3. This coring process is far superior to using a drum style aerator because of deeper soil plugs being removed and far more soil disruption occurring. This will be completed in the early fall. Four applications of a complete fertilizer will be applied to the field throughout the growing season. All areas will be sprayed with a broadleaf herbicide as needed. A subsurface insecticide that will suppress insects, like grubs, will be applied in the summer to give control through the fall. Upon request, the contractor agrees to attend all Building/Grounds Committee meetings to provide information to the committee regarding the varsity fields. All invoicing will of above work will begin July 1 st of the year the work is provided and continue through December 31 st. All invoicing will be itemized per occurrence and per service on the invoice.
