Team Reports Round 9 U11 Boys Despite having only 7 players, we managed one of our biggest wins ever! We decided to play with no pitcher or catcher, so with Ashton and Cooper covering the right side of infield, Mac and Mitchell covering the left side and Jack, Sam and Tommy charged with manning the outfield, it worked a treat albeit I m sure we had some tired boys on Sat afternoon! We continue to get outs at all the bases which is great but it was our batting that was the standout, with everyone hitting the ball hard to the outfield. Our last game before the Xmas break this Sat so let s make it a good one. U11 Girls V Waratahs Lost 30-18 Congratulations on playing a great game of Teeball against a very strong opposition. It was a good opportunity this week to play in different positions as they hit lots of big hits to the outfield. This gave us a chance to practice our chasing down the ball and relaying the ball back into the infield. Even though they were big batters we were still able to make some good outs and practice moving around the field. Each week our batting gets stronger. The girls are really thinking about finding the gaps and hitting safe hits to get on base. Well done to Ashlee and Scarlett for hitting homeruns to score our runners on base. Great teamwork by the girls, keep having fun and learning something new every week. A word from our youngest members: I love playing Catcher. Even if the catchers breastplate is bigger than she is! (Alice U/11 player) I have fun seeing my friends every game. I like batting and doing homeruns. (Grace U/11 player) U13 Wow girls, what a win!! Every single one of you stood up and played an outstanding game against some pretty good competition. There were good hits, great outs and some excellent pitching from Shae! You should all be proud of the way you all played and I hope to see that same competitiveness for this week, keep it up girls! U15 V Cruisers loss 8-7 A solid first inning in the box looked to set us up for the rest of the game. Well done ladies for your patience when batting and moving players around the bases! Unfortunately, Cruisers weren t going to settle that easily and continued to fight back. Don t worry ladies we will get them next time! We have the BYE this week, so I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe holiday and I look forward to seeing you in the new year!
SG1 V Cruisers win 6-4 A good all round performance Ladies. Well done to our pitcher/catcher duo Bianca, Chelsea and Issy, very solid game ladies. Also, a mention to Ryleigh for making some cracking stops at short stop! Better consistency in the box was certainly noticed but we can continue to build on this for the rest of the season. Team batting is the key!!! A special thank you to Danica for playing up, most definitely the MVP! A Res V Eages Draw 7-7 It was wonderful to see the team in action today. Everyone hit especially well, a great 3 baser from Charli. Simmo hit a beautiful line drive into the outfield. Morelia got a great catch at third base and a winning combination of Delmy on 2 nd base and Belinda on 1 st with a great out. We had a special guest photographer today as one of Simmo s friends came and took some photos hope we look good out there And great to see so many family members coming to support us today. Close game resulting in a 7-7 draw but an exciting game to watch. Mixed 2 Forfeit A Grade Blue A Grade White V Eagles 1-1 Well, we were the only A grade game last week, with the other two games a forfeit so all eyes watched our game. Mot much really happened fielding well not great! Batting Not great! Your coach doesn t have much hair, but he has a bit less now after that game. So, it s one we need to shake off and be focused this week against Titans.
