Welcome to Memorial Stadium From the Athletic Director Dear Husker Nation, Thank you for making Memorial Stadium the greatest college football venue in the country. We are thrilled to be able to welcome you to Memorial Stadium for the 2004 season. The purpose of the fan guide is to help make game day even more enjoyable. Again, the Husker Nation Pavilion returns as an alcohol-free pregame area for all ages. I would ask that you pay special attention to the information Steve Pederson regarding the construction zones around the stadium. Like our team, there may be some short-term pain to reach the desired results. In the case of construction, that means completion of the finest college football facility in the country. We have wonderful people on our athletic staff, including an event staff, security and ushers who will be happy to assist you in any way. Thank you again for helping create the Sea of Red that has become world famous. I look forward to seeing you in Memorial Stadium this fall. Go Big Red! Sincerely, Steve Pederson

How to Get There Directions to Memorial Stadium Memorial Stadium is located on the east side of Stadium Drive, between T Street on the south and Avery Avenue on the north. It is easily accessible from both area airports. Stadium Drive is closed on game days, so please refer to the campus map in this brochure for directions to various parking lots. From Lincoln Municipal Airport: Turn right on Northwest 12th Street as you drive out of the airport. Northwest 12th becomes Cornhusker Highway, which intersects with Interstate 180. Exit south (downtown) onto I-180, which turns into one-way, southbound, Ninth Street in downtown Lincoln. Drive two blocks and turn left at P Street (just past the Lincoln Journal Star Building), go one block and turn left on 10th Street, then keep to the right for four blocks to Memorial Stadium (DO NOT enter I-180 north). From Omaha Eppley Airfield: Follow the signs from downtown Omaha and Interstate 480. Take I-480 west to Interstate 80, then take I-80 west approximately 60 miles to I-180. Exit south (downtown) on I- 180, and follow the above directions.

Where to Park Gameday Parking & Transportation Parking Policies Gameday parking for all lots surrounding Memorial Stadium is reserved for Athletic Department donors. Donors will receive parking permits for these lots prior to the season. Disabled parking is available on a first-come, firstserved basis in booster parking Lots 4, 8, and 12 (please see parking map). Patrons must have a state-issued hanging tag or license plate. There is a nominal charge for this parking area. Improperly parked vehicles or those found in a restricted area will be towed at the owner s expense. Any vehicle towed may be claimed by contacting the UNL Police at (402) 472-3555. Star Tran Shuttle Services: Fans are encouraged to use Lincoln s Star Tran Shuttle s convenient gameday service. Pregame shuttles begin running two hours before kickoff with the last pregame shuttle running 45 minutes before game time. NU fans are given the opportunity to purchase the walkway bricks and engrave them with a personal message. For more information, contact the NU Athletic Development Office at (402) 472-2367. Championship Drive Construction Construction on a $50 million project that includes the Tom and Nancy Osborne Athletic Complex, a new indoor facility and additional seating that will increase the capacity of Memorial Stadium to more than 80,000 is currently under way in the North section of the stadium. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2006 and will give NU the finest college football facility in the nation. HuskerVision The HuskerVision screens, the first of their kind at a college-only venue, rest in the southeast and northwest corners of the stadium and stand 17 feet high, by 23 feet wide, (391 square feet). Husker Gameday The Third-Largest City in Nebraska Fan Facts Gamedays at Nebraska are unlike any in college football. On football Saturdays, Memorial Stadium becomes the state s third-largest city when nearly 80,000 redclad fans pack the venue. Memorial Stadium s 262 straight sellouts are a continuing NCAA record that stretches back 42 years. The Tunnel Walk The Huskers enter Memorial Stadium through the Tunnel Walk, which takes them from their locker room, through the tunnel that leads to the field and nearly 80,000 screaming fans.

Husker Nation Pavilion The Newest Tradition Free For All Husker Fans The Husker Nation Pavilion is located on the Ed Weir Track just outside of the northeast corner of Memorial Stadium. It opens three hours prior to kickoff every home game. The Pavilion is free and fun for the whole family, offering activities such as a live band, cheerleaders, a kids zone, food vendors, Husker autographs and much more. Due to construction on the North end of the stadium, access to the Pavilion will be limited to the east side of Memorial Stadium. Kids Zone The youngest members of the Husker Nation are sure to have fun at the Husker Nation Pavilion. The Kids Zone includes inflatable games, face painters, clowns and the Husker Power 10-yard timed dash and vertical jump. The open field at the Pavilion gives kids a chance to throw the football around before watching the Huskers take the field. Live Entertainment At the Husker Nation Pavilion, Husker fans can grab food from one of our many vendors and be entertained by a live band and the Pinnacle Pregame Radio Broadcast. Jim Rose and Adrian Fiala broadcast live from the Husker Nation Pavilion before each game. Don t miss out on the biggest tailgate party before each Husker game at the Husker Nation Pavilion.

If You Can t Make It Here... Huskers on Radio, TV & Internet The Pinnacle Sports Network Pinnacle Sports Productions begins its ninth year of producing and marketing the live broadcasts for Nebraska football. Anchor affiliates will be KFAB (1110 AM) in Omaha and KLIN (1400 AM) in Lincoln. For an up-to-date list of affiliates where you can hear Jim Rose and Adrian Fiala call the action, please check Huskers.com. HuskersNside The newly redesigned Huskers.com, the official website of the University of Nebraska athletic department, offers live audio of every Husker football game, biographies of every player, live stats and much more. Now fans have an even greater opportunity to gain access to Nebraska football through HuskersNside, the premium site of the NU Athletic Department. HuskersNside will provide live streaming of selected non-televised football games and weekly football press conferences, as well as on-demand viewing of classic footage and in-depth feature articles. To join, visit Huskers.com and click on HuskersNside. Because this is quality video streaming, subscribers to the site must have broadband Internet access. Television The NU administration actively works to schedule football game times that are as convenient as possible for fans. However, the Big 12 Conference television contracts allow our partners (ABC, FOX Sports Net, TBS) to delay their broadcast selections until two weeks before the date of the game. If a game is selected, networks may change kickoff time. As of June 25, two Nebraska home games had been selected by ABC for telecasts - Southern Mississippi (Sept. 11, 11 a.m.) and Colorado (Nov. 26, 11 a.m.). All times are Central.
