A win this weekend over Boston U. will secure a bye into the semifinals. * If Loyola defeats Lehigh on Saturday, the Greyhounds will clinch a spot in the Patriot League Tournament. * Bucknell head coach Frank Fedorjaka is one win away from tallying the 150th win of his career and 50th win in League play. * The ninth set of Patriot League weekly awards were announced on Monday, with honors going to Loyola s Pat Spencer (A), Lehigh s Eddie Bouhall (D) and Donny Stires (GK), Navy s Brady Dove (FO), and Colgate freshman Griffin Brown (M). * Bucknell s Will Sands and Loyola s Pat Spencer rank first (3.80) and second (3.70), respectively, in assists per game across NCAA DI programs. * Four different players rank among NCAA DI s top 10 in caused turnovers with Lehigh s Craig Chick leading the nation averaging 3.22 per game. Army s Johnny Surdick ranks fifth (2.33), Navy s Matt Rees is eighth (2.09), and Lafayette s Erik Cannon is ninth (2.00). * As a team, Army ranks second among all NCAA DI programs in scoring defense (6.80) and scoring margin (5.50). Spencer earns his second weekly award of the season after turning in a career-high tying performance as the Greyhounds defeated Colgate 12-5 on Saturday. The sophomore notched five goals and also added an assist for a total of six points. He scored four goals in the first half, three of which were unassisted, to help Loyola jump out to an 8-1 lead at the half. Spencer also picked up two groundballs. Corvias Defensive Player of the Week EDDIE BOUHALL, LEHIGH So., D, Lynbrook, N.Y. Bouhall helped rout nationally ranked Boston University for a second straight year, setting a pair of new careerhighs. The sophomore tallied a career-best six groundballs and career-high tying four caused turnovers in the teams third League victory. He was a part of a defense that held then-no. 16/18 Boston University to just six goals a tie for a season-low and allow only three even strength goals. Corvias Faceoff Specialist of the Week BRADY DOVE, NAVY Sr., FO, Stevensville, Md. Dove earns his second-straight weekly honor after helping the Midshipmen earn their third consecutive win of the season and improve to 3-3 in League play. The senior won 15-of-18 faceoffs taken in Navy s 11-4 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday and is now third all-time in the League with 605 FO wins. After winning the opening draw in the second half, he became the first player in program history to win 600 career faceoffs. Corvias Goalkeeper of the Week DONNY STIRES, LEHIGH Sr., GK, Martinsville, N.J. Stires made his first start of the season in the Mountain Hawks 10-6 win over then-no. 16/18 Boston University on Saturday. The senior made 13 saves, 10 of which came in the second half, and face a total of 36. He allowed just six goals and just three even-strength goals, forcing the Terriers to tie a season low of goals scored this year, and kept them off the scoreboard in the second quarter. Corvias Rookie of the Week GRIFFIN BROWN, COLGATE Fr., M, McLean, Va. Brown tallied his second hat trick of the season in the Raiders 12-5 loss to Loyola Maryland on Saturday. The freshman upped his goal-scoring streak to a team-best nine games with the three goals, as he now leads the team with 19 goals. He also picked up a groundball. Honorable Mention TRISTAN RAI, LEHIGH So., A, Edmonton, Alberta Rai had a hand in half of Lehigh s goals, scoring three in the Mountain Hawks 10-6 win over then-no.16/18 Boston University. He also tallied two assists. MATT REES, NAVY Sr., LSM, Sykesville, Md. Rees posted two caused turnovers and helped hold Holy Cross scoreless for 33 minutes in the 11-4 win on Saturday. He also scored a career-high three goals. DAN GRABHER, ARMY WEST POINT Sr., FO, Glen Head, N.Y. Grabher won 14-of-20 faceoffs taken in the Black Knights 11-10 win over Bucknell on Saturday.
