Eastern Illinois University EIU Cheer & Pink Panthers Dance Team March 30 & 31, 2019 EIU Cheer and Pink Panthers Dance Team: We are two separate teams united by school spirit! Each independent team has the same common goal: to support Eastern Illinois University along with its students, activities, and athletic teams. Our program also focuses on helping members grow in their talents while teaching responsibility, teamwork, and discipline. All members will follow the same constitution that aligns with the expectations and values of the athletics department. Membership: Individuals are allowed membership to only one team, either EIU Cheer or Pink Panthers Dance. When you are offered a position on the EIU Cheer or Pink Panthers Dance team you are committing to an active role in building an even stronger spirit program. Your season begins day one of tryouts and ends day one of tryouts for the following season. Our heaviest time commitment is during football and basketball season. After basketball season our practices are lighter in preparation for the next season. Video must include all elements on the tryout scoresheet and be presented in a professional manner. Video tryout will be followed up with a phone or in-person interview. If you do not possess health coverage, a temporary policy covering the EIU Dance/Cheer Tryout must be purchased (through your insurance agent) to cover the camper for the duration of the sports camp.
