1. Upcoming Meets Ginninderra Swim Club Committee Meeting 11 July 2017 Race Secretary s Report The third Winter Development and Distance meet will be held on Sunday 23 July with online entries closing on Tuesday 18 July. Current 29 swimmers have entered these meets. The Swimming NSW Target squad meet (formerly B and C squad meet) is being held on the weekend of 29-30 July at Woy Woy. At this stage I m not sure how many from the club will be attending, but the last list I saw 7 swimmers from the club will be competing. The 2017 ACT Winter SC Championships will be held on the weekend of 5-6 August at the AIS. I would expect that the club will have a large number of swimmers in attendance. Online entries close on Tuesday 25 July at 10:00pm. 2. Meet Results Ginninderra Winter Short Course Carnival 17 to 18 June The club ran a very successful meet on the weekend of 17 to 18 June with over 40 teams from NSW, Victoria, and local clubs competing. In total just fewer than 400 swimmers entered the meet. Ginninderra was very well represented by 68 swimmers with some great results. The overall pb rate for the club was a good 54.9% with Mattia Bognolo, Christopher Bush, Ally Chambers, Anna Gillard, Kyle Gillard, Hannah Hall, Kayla Hardy, Emma Kennard, Escha Leon, Zak Levine, Lily McGregor, Abigail McMaster, Mark O Neill, Sebastian Phommaseisy, Olivia Reid, Lachlan Savage, Sarah Thomas, Elijah Williams and Jacob Williams all obtaining 100% pbs. 20 swimmers managed to win individual medals with a summery below. Abbey Senior 3 2 Sarah Thomas 1 2 Anna Varela 1 1 1 Abbey Webb 5 3 2 Grace Zhang 1 2017 NSW Country Championships - 24 to 16 February A solid team of 36 swimmers (including quite a few rookies) went up to Sydney to take on the best of NSW Country. The club backed up their efforts of winning the LC championships point score by also taking out the NSW SC Country Championships point score title. In was a great effort by the swimmers and coaching staff. In total the club won 21 gold, 17 silver and 11 bronze medals with plenty of swimmers also finishing in the top 10. Both teams consisted of Kayla Hardy, Meg Senior, Sarah Thomas and Chelsea Kenneally. The women s 15&O relay team had the same outcome winning the 4x100m free relay and a silver medal in the 4x100m medley relay. Both teams consisted of Bec Cross, Aylisha Sutton, Kirrily Edwards and Abbey Webb. The men s 15&O 4x100m medley relay team consisting of Liam Brodrick, Jared O Hanlon, Billy Nicholson and Elijah Gatica also won a bronze medal.
Summer Development Meet - Point score The summer development series point score has been finalised with 40 of our swimmers finishing in the top 10 for their age group and division.
