Dismissal will be via the Oak St. carloop at 5:30 PM. Water and popcorn will be served; parents are encouraged to pack an extra snack. BASKING RIDGE FAMILY FUN NIGHT Sunday, February 22 Everyone in Basking Ridge is welcome, including friends and extended family, to join the fun at the Branchburg Sports Complex on Sunday, February 22, from 5 PM-8 PM. Page 2 REMINDER! Science & Art Expo Registration Closes March 2nd Still stumped for ideas? Check out the Bernards Township Library book display, and/or the Astronomy themed display case. Mrs. Piccoline has pulled books in the Media Center that students can look at during Library and Computers. Additional ideas can be found on YouTube by searching Steve Spangler or Sick Science videos, as well as Pinterest.com. Projects can consist of an experiment or demonstration, OR students may report facts about a science topic. Completed registration packets (attached) must be turned in by Friday, March 2. WANTED: COWBOYS AND COWGIRLS FOR FAMILY READING NIGHT Friday, March 6th Parent volunteers and 4 th -5 th grade student volunteers are needed to help make this night successful. More details coming soon! CAMP INVENTION HELD AT OAK STREET SCHOOL THIS SUMMER Camp Invention s mission is to inspire children to be confident in their natural ability to dream and create. The curriculum is designed to reflect the spirit of inventions, inspired by the Inductees of the National Inventors Hall of Fame. The camp is one week long (August 3-7) and is being offered to students entering 1st through 6th grade. The students work in teams and are presented with real world challenges that promote direct application of critical thinking and communications skills. STEM concepts are explored via hands-on, creative problem solving activities. Camp director is Ms. Dana Romano, 6 th Grade Teacher at WAMS. Please see the flyer below for more details.
