I do hope that everyone is well as our fall season cools down into the early winter. For our newly inducted members from our Fall Induction/Ordeal, welcome to the lodge! We are proud and excited to have each of you as a member of this great lodge. We look forward to your journey with us in this great and honored Order... It has been an exciting year within the Bob White Lodge throughout 2018. We are excited to say that we earned Gold in our Journey to Excellence for 2018! We have sent a contingent and multiple Staff members to the National OA Conference in July. We have supported our located KSR summer camp program through staff membership and camp promotions. We have provided great service to our local Council camps and have spread the influence of Cheerful Service throughout Scouting. Upcoming for the remainder of the year, we have our Winter Fellowship weekend at Camp Daniel Marshall and I certainly hope to see many of you there! More information about this event are detailed later in this newsletter. I look forward to seeing all of you soon and that you're as excited for the future for our lodge as I am! 2019 Lodge Officer Election NOAC 2018 Lodge Service Award

SERVICE AT SUMMER CAMP BY ROBERT BOLTON, JR. The Bob White Lodge hosted a strong presence during the 2018 summer camp programs at the Robert E. Knox Scout Reservation! The lodge supplied several groups AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SERVICE BY ROBERT BOLTON, JR. 2018 VICE-CHIEF OF INDUCTIONS round patch for each Camp Day of Service you attend and participate in. In 2019 we will host 3 Days of Service; Presented in 2018, the lodge is May 11th and August 10th will be offering a new Lodge Service Award hosted at Knox Scout Reservation and for both youth and adult Arrowmen to the November 9th work day will be work towards and earn! This award is hosted at Camp Daniel Marshall. All a great way to stay involved within the days will begin at 9:00 AM and is open lodge as well as provide service to our to anyone to volunteer, but only 2019 of Arrowmen to serve on Staff to present and carry out a successful camp program to Scouts from all over the area! Serving on summer camp staff is one of the greatest opportunities an Arrowman can participate in while a youth, not to mention also making some money during the summer months, as well. If you've never served on Camp Staff before, definitely check it out! dues paid members receive a patch. Applications for summer camp staff lodge member and is simple to earn. NOAC 2018: RECAP BY ROBERT BOLTON, JR. 2018 VICE-CHIEF OF INDUCTIONS Bob White Lodge was represented well with a contingent of 10 and 3 Staff members in attendance at the 2018 National Order of the Arrow Conference at Indiana University! Over 7,000 Arrowmen from all across the country gathered for an exciting celebration of OA fun and fellowship at IU giving everyone an unforgettable and awesome OA experience. While at NOAC, Arrowmen had the opportunity to participate in some incredible activities! Each night consisted of a NOAC show which encased different features of the conference including demonstrations of amazing AIA and dance/drum performances, games and interactions using Seek, fantastic new training to help Arrowmen develop leadership abilities to bring back home to their lodges, addresses from national officers, and even a presentation by our Chief Scout Executive, Mike Surbaugh! And of course, amazing patch trading! Everyone in attendance had a fantastic time and we can't wait for NOAC 2020! Coming in 2019, the lodge will open contingent slots and create a committee to prepare for NOAC 2020 which will be held at Michigan State University! Stay on the lookout for more information in 2019.

LODGE WINTER FELLOWSHIP 2018 The 2018 Bob White Lodge Winter Fellowship weekend will be help at Camp Daniel Marshall beginning on Friday, December 7 and closing on Sunday, December 9. To close out a great 2018 year, the lodge will gather at Camp Daniel Marshall for a Winter Fellowship weekend of fun and excitement! The event is packed with activities and enjoyment for all Arrowmen, youth and adult. Throughout the weekend we will participate in numerous activities from campfire programs to a camp service project, an ultimate frisbee tournament, AIA Dance and Drum demonstrations, the Lodge Committee Fair, patch trading, tribal and quest games, a movie night and a final closing banquet on Saturday evening to wrap up an exciting 2018 year and welcome us into the next year of fellowship within Bob White in 2019. We will host numerous guests from around SR-5 such as former Section Chief Jakob Helderman, current Section Chief Cole Taylor and SR-5 Vice-Chief Hunter Hackett, and even the AIA Dance and Drum teams from Unali' Yi Lodge from Charleston, South Carolina! And not to mention that all dues-paid members in attendance will receive an event patch (shown above) and a special holiday gift at the banquet, so you definitely don't want to miss such an exciting event! Special events during the weekend are to include a special Lodge Committee Fair hosted in the CDM Chapel/Conference Center on Saturday morning where lodge members can learn about and experience opportunities available within the lodge programs. Information displayed will include ceremony team information, Dixie 2019 advertisements, meeting the 2019 Bob White officers, Chapter booths and even more! Definitely a lot to see and learn about opportunities available in the lodge. Also hosted on Friday night will be our 2018 Vigil Retreat for our 2018 Vigil Honor candidates! This is a time to welcome in the new Vigil Honor candidates and for current Vigil members to participate in the Vigil ceremonies. This event is limited to only Vigil Honor members of the OA. And lastly, for those Arrowmen who are eligible, we will offer a Brotherhood clan for the weekend in order for members who haven't been able to seal their membership will now be able to complete their Brotherhood Honor during this weekend's programs. Registration is now live online and can be found on the lodge's Facebook page and the Council's website. 2019 BOB WHITE LODGE OFFICERS During the fall General Lodge Meeting in October, the lodge elected our new 2019 Lodge Officers! The names and bios are listed below so that we can meet our new leadership! They will also be present during the Committee Fair at the Winter Fellowship for lodge members to meet and get to know each of our officers. Lodge Chief - Robert Bolton, Jr. Vice-Chief of Admin. - Jacob Taylor Vice-Chief of Inductions - Chris Johnson Vice-Chief of Program - Richard Newell MEET THE 2018 CHIEF Lodge Chief-elect Robert Bolton, Jr. with 2018 Chief Nick Koenig We are excited to announce that Robert Bolton, Jr. has been elected to serve as the 2019 Lodge Chief for Bob White Lodge! Robert is an Eagle Scout, Class of 2015, and has been a member of the lodge since elected in 2014 and has sat in a number of leadership roles and positions within the Order. He first served as a Chapter Chief in 2015-2016 for the Kiokee- River Chapter while serving as the Lodge Ceremonies Chairman for 2 years. In 2015, Robert was appointed as the Host Lodge Coordinator of the 2016 Dixie Fellowship where he led the planning committee and carried out the logistics of the 2016 Dixie Fellowship. Later in 2016, Robert represented the Lodge at the 2016 National Conference NEXT: A New Century at Indiana University where he led discussions and presented the lodge's Cub Scout Camping Award as a finalist of the NEXT Factor judges panel consisting of the 2016 OA National Officers. At the 2017 Dixie Fellowship at Camp Barstow, Robert was elected as the SR-5 Section Secretary where he served for 1 year as an officer of the Section. His area of focus was working with training, American Indian Affairs, Section communication and planning logistics for the 2018 Dixie Fellowship. Robert spent his term traveling across SR-5 to learn and work with leaders in all 10 lodges in our section. He also had the privilege to attend the 2017 National Scout Jamboree where he served as the youth contingent leader and SPL. In 2018, Robert was appointed as a Training Navigator for the PILOT Academy training program at the 2018 National Order of the Arrow Conference and was announced at NOAC of his appointment as the SR-5 Associate Coordinator for the 2019 Dixie Fellowship. We congratulate Robert on his election and wish him a great term in 2019!

Vice-Chief of Administration - Jacob Taylor 2019 Lodge Vice-Chiefs We are excited to announce that Jacob Taylor will continue as the Vice-Chief of Administration for the 2019 year! Jacob served as the 2018 VC of Administration and looks forward to continuing growing his area of the lodge. Throughout Jacob's OA journey, he has served as the Kiokee-River Chapter Chief and continues to serve with the Chapter officers to ensure a high quality program for the Chapter's yearround operation. Jacob continues to serve as a member of the lodge Ceremony Teams and has competed in Dixie Ceremony Competitions as well as mentor new ceremony members to learn the basic principles. Some of Jacob's highlights in Scouting have been going to the 2017 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. In 2018, Jacob served as the youth contingent leader for the lodge's National OA Conference contingent where he enjoyed activities such as AIA programs, ceremonies, shows and especially patch trading. In the spring of 2018, Jacob also attended the National Leadership Seminar in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received the necessary tools for great leadership in the lodge and the OA. Congratulations to Jacob upon his election and we wish him a successful 2019 term as VCA! Vice-Chief of Inductions - Chris Johnson We are excited to announce that Chris Johnson has been elected to serve as the Vice-Chief of Inductions for the 2019 year! Chris is an Eagle Scout, Class of 2018, from Troop 615 in Evans, Georgia. Chris has been an active member of the Bob White Lodge since his induction. Over the past few years, Chris has served the lodge greatly as the Brotherhood Induction Committee Chairman where he has worked to coordinate Nimat positions and gather the preparations necessary to provide a high quality Brotherhood conversion program. Chris has also served as a member of the lodge's ceremony teams and has competed during the Dixie Fellowship. Some of Chris' favorite Scouting memories include summer camp, Dixie Fellowships and attending the 2017 National Scout Jamboree where he served as an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader to the council contingent. Chris looks forward to a great year in growing the induction process and continuing the growth of new membership, elections, retention and Brotherhood conversion. 2019 Lodge Vice-Chiefs Vice-Chief of Program - Richard Newell We are excited to announce that Richard Newell has been elected to serve as the Vice-Chief of Program for the 2019 year! While in the OA, Richard has served as the 2018 Kiokee-River Chapter Chief. Richard also serves as a member of the lodge's ceremony teams as Kitchkinet in the Pre-Ordeal ceremony and is a Brotherhood Honor member. Richard is a member of Troop 2 in Evans, Georgia. He looks forward to serving as the VC of Program in 2019 to present new programs and exciting events as the OA progresses into the next generation. Congratulations to Richard on his election and good luck in 2019! From the LEC, It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we grow near to the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019! As we reflect on the year soon to close, we give great thanks to the leaders and volunteers who have served this great lodge in 2018! Your dedication to this lodge is greatly appreciated and we look forward to what the future holds... 2019 will bring us great adventure in service and fellowship within the lodge and council. For all of our new Arrowmen, we welcome you, again, into the lodge and are excited to see where your journey will lead this lodge in the future. Winter Banquet 2019 To begin our exciting 2019 year, our first event will be our Winter Banquet! This is a one evening event hosted at at 0:00 PM on January, 2019. The highlights of the program include a guest speaker presentation, a recap of our 2018 lodge programs, the transition and "passing of the bonnet" for our new 2019 Lodge Chief and Vice-Chiefs, a highlight of our 2019 programs including Dixie, fellowships and training events, awards and recognition of service to the lodge, along with the opening address by our 2019 Lodge Chief. This will be an exciting evening that you do not want to miss! Follow our updates on Facebook and the council website to find registration details and event fees. As always, family is invited and encouraged to attend the evening's program. All dues paid lodge members will receive a patch (shown left) so make sure to register and attend our 2019 Winter Banquet!
