RULES: AWARDS: DIVISIONS: The current rules of the International Judo Federation (IJF) as modified. 1. GOLDEN SCORE will apply to ALL DIVISIONS. 2. NO Kansetsu waza allowed in Junior Division 3. Shime waza allowed for 13 yrs. of age and up 4. Kansetsu waza allowed in all senior divisions regardless of age. (Minimum age for Senior Divisions is 13.) 5. Pre-2003 Medical Rules 6. White judogis are required. If you don t have a blue gi, you must bring your own white belt and blue belt. Blue belts or gis must be worn by the blue competitor and white belts or gi must be worn by the white competitor 7. Zori s or sandals are to be worn when the competitors are off the mat. 8. Must be in judo gi to receive your medal 9. Special rules for the 4-12 Junior Novice Divisions: These are two-minute matches that run to the full time limit. Scores are added up at the conclusion to determine the winner. There will be a three ippon limit. (These rules are designed to give novices as much mat time and experience as possible Novice competitors can also compete in more advanced divisions. 10. There may be co-ed competition for those 10 and under.
