This is a FREE class open to everyone. We ll go through all the different steps from prepping the paint to final quick detailing. Different classes of products and their purposes will be explained as well as the science behind taking care of paint and other surfaces. Car Show Chair's Notes Just a note to thank all the people who volunteered to help at the May Car Show, again. Since this is an all volunteer show, without commercial sponsors, it would not happen without a lot of club members volunteering to help. With your help and the help of all the people who showed cars, the show did profit this year, making up for last year's losses. With a $10 entry fee, it is still the lowest priced show around. The volunteer lunch is only a small tribute to those of you who helped. Everyone who helped has the deepest gratitude of the members who put the show together. Don't forget to show up again next year. We can't have the show without you. Joyce

Our first order of business concerned our Treasurer's Report. Ron Rymarz, our Treasurer, reported that there is $5158.55 in our checking account as of this date. Joyce Clements gave our final Albuquerque Museum Car Show report. Joyce reported that after all expenses were paid that we made a profit of $1272.72 on this show. She also reported that 30 people showed up for our Volunteer's Luncheon at the Village Pizza Shop in Corrales. New Business: All Club's Picnic-Michael Maestas reported that all the arrangements had been made and the fees paid for our use of the Jemez Picnic Area for our picnic scheduled for August 6, 2006. Michael reminded people that the caravan of cars going to the picnic would leave the Santa Ana Casino parking lot at 9:30 AM. Detailing Class- Michael Maestas will conduct a class on detailing at the Old Car Garage on August 26, 2006 at 4:00 PM. This class is open to all free of charge and will take about two hours. Michael will discuss the latest detailing products on the market, their good and bad points, and how to properly apply them. This is a class you won't want to miss. Swap Meet Flyer- After the meeting a short get together was held between the Swap Meet Committee and Chuck Rumschlag about what should be on the Swap Meet Flyer. Then Jon Duran was given the task to create such a flyer and have it ready to mail out in two weeks. Create Swap Meet Hat Pin-John Hayne was given this project and the design has already been approved and sent off to be produced. Mail Swap Meet Flyers- It was decided to have a folding and mailing party at the Old Car Garage on August 9, 2006 at 6:30 PM. Pizza and drinks will be provided for all the volunteers who show up for this project. Sign Up Sheet For Times and Duties For the Swap Meet-Will happen at our August Meeting. Election of Officers For 2006-2007: Nominations were solicited for officers and directors to lead the New Mexico Council of Car Clubs for the 2006-2007 year and no new names were placed in nominations. So Bob Agnew asked each officer and director presently serving in these positions if they would agree to serve in the same capacity for another year. Tom Willers, our present Vice President, asked that his name be taken out of the nominations and it was. Michael Maestas volunteered to run for the Vice President position in place of Tom Willers and he was elected to that position. So the only change in our leadership positions for the coming year will be that of Vice President since the rest of the officers and directors volunteered to serve another one year term and they were voted in by acclimation of the club representatives on hand. After the elections were over since there was no other business to discuss the meeting was officially closed at 8:00 PM. Paul G. McLaughlin -----
