LIPSCOMB Liberty and Lipscomb will square off on Tuesday for the second time ever and for the first time in more than seven years. The two teams are heading in different directions, with Liberty riding a season-best three-game winning streak and Lipscomb having lost 16 in a row since its win at Alabama A&M on Nov. 15. The Bisons are tied with Iona for the nation's longest active losing streak. Liberty's Ashtyn Baker helped Northpoint Christian School win back-to-back Tennessee II-A state titles at Allen Arena in 2016 and 2017. The Lady Flames will look to control the boards on Tuesday. Liberty ranks No. 2 in the ASUN in rebound margin (+5.1), while Lipscomb is last at -8.8 and is led in rebounding by 5-9 freshman guard Jane Deason (4.5 rpg). Both teams feature youthful rosters. Lipscomb has zero seniors, and four of its top five scorers are freshmen and sophomores. Meanwhile, four of Liberty's top six scorers are sophomores. Despite all of Liberty's travels this season, Tuesday's game will be the Lady Flames' first visit outside the Eastern Time Zone since Dec. 20, 2017, when Liberty faced Northern Colorado in Kansas City, Mo. (Central Time Zone). LAST MEETING WITH LIPSCOMB NOV. 26, 2011 LIBERTY 70, LIPSCOMB 27 NASHVILLE, TENN. Liberty limited Lipscomb to 13.8 percent (9-of-65) shooting, including 13.3 percent (4-of-30) from three-point range. Jess Reece paced the Bisons with six points. on this date: Liberty is 7-4 all-time when playing on Jan. 29. JAN. 29 PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES A move from the Big South Conference to the ASUN Conference combined with an ambitious non-conference schedule has led to a considerable amount of travel this season. By the end of their current road trip, the Lady Flames will have taken 21 total flights through 12 different airports (Charlotte, Charlottesville, Chattanooga, Cobb County, Daytona Beach, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Lynchburg, Nashville, Philadelphia, Roanoke and Tampa) in. When they return home from their current trip, the Lady Flames will have spent 25 nights in hotels so far this season. Saturday's game at Jacksonville was Liberty's sixth contest played in Florida this season, equaling the Lady Flames' number of home games thus far in. LIBERTY IN THE VOLUNTEER STATE Liberty is playing its third and final regular-season game in Tennessee on Tuesday. The Lady Flames are 1-1 in the Volunteer State this season, including an 89-86 win at ETSU on Dec. 4 and a 75-60 setback at Chattanooga on Nov. 21. Head Coach Carey Green hails from Louisville, Tenn., Emily Lytle is a Memphis native and Ashtyn Baker was named Tennessee Division II-A Miss Basketball in 2016-17. KEYS TO THE STREAK During its current three-game winning streak, Liberty is scoring 73.7 ppg on 48.3 percent field goal shooting while dishing out 18.7 apg. The Lady Flames' most recent ASUN matchup prior to this season was a 70-27 victory over Lipscomb on Nov. 26, 2011 at the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament in Nashville, Tenn. Liberty owns a 4-4 record against current ASUN members, including wins over Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb and North Florida and losses to FGCU, Jacksonville and Stetson (2x). The Lady Flames have not played a Jan. 29 contest since 2011, when they recorded a 70-33 victory at Winthrop, holding the Eagles to 10 first-half points. Liberty is 223-121 all-time in January, including 139-24 under Carey Green and 4-3 this season. 3

Liberty is one of three NCAA Division I teams which currently features freshmen of the year from each of the last two seasons, along with new ASUN rival Kennesaw State and Oregon. SPLENDID SUMMER For the third time in program history (also 2010 and 2014), the Liberty women's basketball team took a summer trip to Israel, spending July 20-Aug. 12 in the Holy Land. The Lady Flames played a pair of games against the Israel National Team, winning both matchups. THE GLASS IS HALF FULL The Lady Flames are 118-2 under Head Coach Carey Green when making at least 50 percent of their field goals, including 3-0 this season. THE GLASS IS HALF EMPTY Only 26 of 627 (4.1 percent) opposing teams have shot 50 percent or better from the field during Head Coach Carey Green's tenure at Liberty. WORKING OVERTIME Liberty has played 34 overtime games in program history, going 15-19. Saturday's 85-75 overtime win at Jacksonville was the Lady Flames' first overtime triumph since Nov. 22, 2014 versus Saint Joseph's, snapping the team's threegame losing streak in OT contests.
