All were happy to have some extra cash for Christmas to help out with buying gifts. Stay tuned for our next big raffle for the lodge, should be starting up after the first of the year. Let's start December out with a bang. December 6th is tree lighting, there are still seats available for the trip down to Mooseheart. See your bartenders for sign up information. In the morning our Cub Pack will be having their Holiday All-you-can-eat Pancake breakfast, $5.00 per person at the door. Three dollars per person in advance, contact Annette Palmen at 262-412-4070 for more information. That evening on the 6th is the Mike and Ray Show, this is a spin-off of our Moose Zoo Review. Lots of zany skits by Mike and Ray from the Zoo Review. Willie Sterba will be your MC for the evening. $10.00 per person for the shows, this is a fundraiser for breast cancer research. Let's come down and have some fun and raise money for a great cause. Moose Legion breakfast is on December 7th, with the special this month, Steak and Eggs, always a favorite. Our members kid's Christmas party is on Saturday December 13 th starting at noon and going to 2:00 pm. Don't forget to sign up the little one's today. Tickets are $15.00 per person, and reserve your tables of 8 for a great location on the dance floor. This year we will be rockin' to the music of Best of Everything. See you there. Next month we will be looking to January 24 th for a Hawaiian Luau party, the guest of honor will be a pig for the roasting. 2 NEWS FROM YOUR GOVERNOR Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I certainly did. I have a lot to be thankful for. The holiday season is upon us. We all have places to go, people to see, and things to do. I hope you find the time to share some holiday cheer at our Lodge. We have a lot of fun activities planned at the Lodge, so watch the calendar so you do not miss any. Grandma Mary has been in the kitchen about a month now. All indications are she is a huge success. Come on in and enjoy a meal. I am sure you will love it. Member appreciation day is December 24th from 12:00 p.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m. Come in and share some Christmas cheer with your friends. We will have the usual Tom and Jerry's along with other drink specials and raffles. I want to thank all of you who come to our beer and booze bingo every month. I see more new faces each month. I hope you are having fun. In December we will be starting a new dart league on Wednesdays. It will be a random draw league starting at 6:00 p.m. Please see James Mosley for more information. Tickets for the New Year's Eve party are on sale now for $15.00 each. This includes a dinner buffet at 7:00 p.m., music by The Best of Everything from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., and champagne and party favors. This is an event you will not want to miss. SPORTS The Monday in-house pool league has wrapped up play for fall. Rod Erlandson and Doug Bevins were the top team. Season highlights include break and runs for Erlandson and Mike Bezzotte, table runs for Lloyd Jester and Steve Bevins. If you would like to participate in the next round of play, call Ron Kramer, 1-262-764-9226 or attend the meeting on Monday night, December 1, 6:30 pm at our Club. Teams will be drawn, and rules discussed. League play will commence on December 15th, 2014. Ron and Darla Kramer, co-chair Monday nights. Monday/Wednesday morning pool continues. First break is at 9:30 am. Lunch is served 11:30 am on those days. Andy Burger chairs both mornings. All day Wednesday there will be free pool for our members. Darts will be played, starting Wednesday December 3rd, 6:00 pm, and every Wednesday evening during the winter. Activities chairman James Mosley and Fred Storz will be in charge. We have a new dart machine installed and ready to play. The Green Bay Packers continue their march to the Super Bowl. The Packer Party committee, Joe Matteucci, James Mosley and Greg Pawell, stage events for every game. Besides good food and drink specials, there are raffles, with team jerseys and stuff for winners. On Mon. night, Dec. 8 Green Bay plays Atlanta in Green Bay. Enjoy the game and every game in our Social Quarters. The 80th Moose State bowling tournament will run February 28th -April 12th 2015, with breaks for State Conference and Easter, in Beloit WI, host Lodge will be The Beloit Family Center, bowling at Diamond Lanes. Our Lodge reserves a weekend, this year it will be March 21st-22nd. Ed Piehl is our chairman and makes the arrangements. Enter on-line or get an entry blank on our bulletin board. State dartball will be in Muskego January 10th, 2015 and Coed 301 darts is February 7th, 2015 in Saukville. Our kitchen is open every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting 4:00 pm. Traditional fish fry, specials and regular menu is served on Fridays. Wednesday December 24th, 2014 is the annual member appreciation celebration, with food, from scratch Tom and Jerry drinks, and free raffles. 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. A wonderful turnout of over 30 participants in this year's Minute-To-Win-It game night! Pizza and FUN was served up! This event is open to all High School Students. By attending this event the student will then be able to compete for over $30,000.00 in Collage Scholarships and a all expense paid trip to Orlando to the International Youth Awareness Congress. NEWS FROM YOUR SENIOR REGENT December is Community Service month with Betty Perrault as your chairman and also Moose "Back to Basics" Heart of the Community month. To help promote Heart of the Community the Supreme Council has granted a membership drive campaign from November 15th thru December 31st. All application fees ($20.00) we collect will be donated to a local charity or to Moose Charities. This is a great opportunity for us to show prospective members that we are truly committed to our fraternity and the community by helping during this holiday season. At the DEC 2ND ACTIVITY MEETING we will be meeting at 5:15pm so that we can visit Harmony Hall next door to bring some holiday cheer to the residence. After our visit we will return to the Lodge for our very own Holiday celebration where we will celebrate receiving our Award of Achievement with food and gift exchanges. ALL MEMBERS are welcome. We honored Charlotte Stine as our VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH. Be sure to congratulate her on this award.
