Great job to Steve Brown and Dick Weston for all the hard work and dedication on the Swap Meet and also Great job to Mark Forester for all the advertising he did. The race went very well and brought in people from all over: Japan, Utah, Oregon, Nevada and all over California. For a recap, please see the newsletter. The next events are the Bud Garric Pattern Contest and the Two Minute Tango. I know that Dale is looking for workers for his race. Research showed that adding another rest room for a month would cost about $90. All agreed that we should spend the $90 to make sure that the club had enough coverage. New nominations for the board will be held at the October membership meeting on 10/19/14. The elections will be held in November at a location TBD on 11/16/14. JR also let the board know that he was looking for additional members to work the upcoming Trashman/YS race. Vice President: Jerry discussed that the contract for the Christmas party on 12/13/14 had been signed and that there were going to be 5 menu choices for the club members to pick from. Spaghetti Factory will be the location again this year. Events: Casey was not present. Secretary: Nothing to report. Treasurer: Steve took some time to discuss the club financials. He then let the board members present know that the swap meet raised $200 for the club and that there were 24 spaces rented. Steve also mentioned that he is working on suggestions for the annual budget meeting and has some areas that he would like to address at that time. Field Marshall: Rodger was not present. Membership: Dick reported that we are now at 151 with roughly 3 renewals over the last two months. Safety: Sergio has not had any safety concerns presented to him over the last 30 days.
