This year the SBD committee felt that due to the recession and need of funds in the community we would rather give all those involved a DVD of the event than hold a Thank You evening. DVDs and certificates will be issued shortly. 12 th Annual Don Page Memorial Golf Day The day was forecast for rain with the possibility of the odd typhoon thrown in for our entertainment. The actuality was a warm dry cloudy day with rain for the last three holes and happy, although slightly damp, golfers. Unfortunately I wasn t the only one to reappear back at the Clubroom looking like a drowned rat - thanks Craiger for this description. The movie of the golfers teeing off from their knees on the 7 th hole has been delayed due to it taking 24 hours to dry out the video camera in order to extract the tape. In the meantime, photos of the day follow: An excellent venue Don Page s company supporting our day with both sponsorship and a team

Golfers widely scattered over the rolling grounds Kerry and Craiger deep in chat returning to the Club house Golfers ready to tee off The Web Co team at work Alan under threat from a passing golfer Graham straightening the kneeling mat Golfing from your knees isn t the easiest task in the world - ask the Sunderland team. A fair number of the balls ended up in the creek behind but all the ducks survived. just.

A couple of our sponsors Broadlands Finance & Smith and Partners The Golf Club humming at dinner time Terry presenting the trophy. The winners were the Rukas Rockets. Terri dreaming about winning the surfing prize with a bit of our SBD advertising in the background. Note: Kids and adults enjoyed trying out the Swanson School trolley and checking out the photos and videos of the event. The Serious Business of choosing a prize

Our MC for the night David Elder, Heather s brother with Craiger Peter Hatch -one happy winner of the raffles Alan enjoyed running the sausage sizzle a number of the items consumed were kindly donated by Pak n Save. Fellowship Night: Wednesday 13 th May 2009 Westwind Theatre 177 Riversdale Road, Avondale 6:30pm start with 7:10pm dinner BYO and don t forget glasses if you object to plastic cups Partners, Family and Friends welcome The Parole Officer Failed parole officer Steve Garden (Coogan) is framed for a murder committed by one of Manchester's leading police constables. The only evidence proving his innocence is CCTV videotape locked inside a bank vault. With the help of four inept ex-criminals and token love interest Emma (Lena Headey), Garden must break into the bank and steal the CCTV footage in order to clear his name.
