Gracie and her family have been members of the RNC for quite a few years and we look forward to them continuing that association for many more years to come. Congratulations!! PLAYING DATES FOR 2017 The Rossmoyne Netball Club plays their games on Saturdays at the Fremantle Netball Association, Gibson Park, East Fremantle. Games are played from end of April September, with a bye on the long weekend in May/June as well as two byes within July School holidays. These changes have been enacted to enable the following: 1. That all Seniors, 19&U, 17&U, Junior A, B, C and D teams play on hard courts 2. Those of you who have indicated you would be willing to assist during the season, we may call on you at busy times in the season as many of our committee also take on roles of coach, team manager and umpire during the season. UNIFORMS Uniform Any suggestions for The Rossmoyne Way newsletter items should be sent through to the club email address, rossmoynenetball club@gmail.com Subject: Attention Newsletter Editor COACHING Hi Everyone, Thanks so much to all our members who came along to one of our 5 fitting sessions. It was so good to meet all our new members and catch up with returning ones. Thanks again for your patience whilst waiting your turn. I would also like to say a special thanks to Cindy Lewis, Meredith Willmot and Sharon Andrews for your help with the fitting sessions. The first uniform orders are being produced by the factories and they will be available for collection at our season opener on the 2 nd of April from 3pm. If you placed your order on or before the 9th of February, you may collect your uniform then. All other uniforms will be available prior to the start of the season. Please look out for an email for date, time and place information for collection. If you have missed the cut off for uniform orders, we hold limited stock and I may still be able to assist you. If you have not ordered a jacket there is a final opportunity to do so at the season opener after uniform distribution. Please bring $75 cash. No change will be available. These jackets will be the third order and will not arrive in time for the start of the season For any enquiries please email the club. Good Luck for the season! Terri Emin COACHING Coaching for Rossmoyne Netball Club is a very rewarding experience, we are currently in the process of appointing our coaches for the 2017 season and still have some places available. If you are an experienced coach or even If you have always thought of coaching but are a bit apprehensive, we have positions available from trainee coaches right through to senior coaches. If you have an interest in supporting our club in this way, please don t hesitate to contact us via our website. Narelle Morgan Coach Coordinator GRADING GRADING Grading for the 2017 season concluded Wednesday 8 th March after 4 weeks. The RNC is very fortunate in both the quality and quantity of its Graders. This meant it was at a very high quality and that most selectors did between 1-2 age groups only. Fundraising Night Riverton Leisureplex - Bill Cole Centre - Saturday 10 June at 7pm. Come along for a night of fun with Bingo! Great prizes on offer and lively social atmosphere. Full details attached at the end of the newsletter Helpers required for the Night: set up & pack up, bar servers (RSA required), and many other tasks. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help with either of these events, your assistance would be much appreciated. You can view the full list of events for 2017 for the Rossmoyne Netball Club at the following link: http://www.rossmoynenc.com.au/events-list NET SET GO PROGRAM NET SET GO PROGRAM WITH FREMANTLE NETBALL ASSOCIATION PROGRAM START DATE: Saturday 13 TH May 2017 PROGRAM FINISH DATE: Saturday 5 TH August 2017 (with byes on 3rd June, 8 th & 15 th July) This Accredited program is held over 10 weeks each Saturday morning at Fremantle Netball, Gibson Park Reserve, 10:40am (45 minute sessions) alongside our normal Fremantle Netball fixtures. Participants to be aged turning 6 and 7 years old in 2017; A maximum of 40 registrations will be accepted. Players will be placed in groups of 10 and Fremantle will provide qualified coaches. COST: $100 Registration: (includes participant pack, Netball WA affiliation, FNA costs) Registration can be completed via FNA website. No registration will be accepted without payment. SEASON OPENER 2017 Sunday 2nd April from 3pm at Shelley Foreshore Please come along and meet the rest of the club (or re-acquaint yourself with past members) 3.00 pm Uniform distribution (Please note that some uniforms have yet to arrive but should be available for the first game on 29th April) 3.30 pm President s welcome Introduction of Registration, Grading, Coaching, Umpiring and Uniform co-ordinators 4.00pm 4.20pm Group photo (Please come dressed in your club uniform for a whole of club photo to be uploaded to our website and for promotion and sponsorship purposes please wear your old uniform in case your new one has yet to arrive) Socialising including sausage sizzle (hotdogs and soft drinks provided) Our location at the foreshore will be towards the east end, within close proximity of the toilets and BBQ area. We ll have gazebo s set up and balloons to identify us so shouldn t be too hard to find! Note - parking will be provided at the east end of the foreshore in the gated area (vacant land). The gate will be opened from 2.30pm and will be closed no later than 5.30pm.
