The beanbag baseball game was well played. Final score was men 12, women 6. Both sides scored early and it was 4 to 4 for many innings. Then the women scored two in the seventh: 4-6. Then the men cranked up and scored 8 runs in the eighth inning and game over: 12-6. Fun was had by all on a beautiful sun shiny pleasant afternoon. It was just a perfect Florida fall afternoon. Golden Triangle Sams had their monthly November campout at Holiday Campers, Brooksville, FL. This was our first visit and it is a good campground. Thursday arrivals had pleasant blue sky weather with a coolish breeze. Thursday was a relaxing day as members arrived and setup their rigs. That evening some enjoyed playing games. Friday morning, was another beautiful day. We had 15 rigs camping, 1 drive in and 1 guest rig: Debby and Dale Lundmark. The ladies drove into Brooksville and visited The Christmas House and other gift shops. They enjoyed lunch at the Tilted Tea Room; some enjoyed a pecan chicken salad on a croissant roll. At 7:00, before we started games, the Wards lead us in an unwrap the box game. Sounds simple but see the photos. Great fun and laughter. Saturday s breakfast was pot luck and there were many delicious dishes. At 10:00 AM, President Jim Gonya conducted the business meeting. The annual Chapter officers were elected: Steve Griffin, President; Mickey Marks, Vice President; Rose Mary Culp, Secretary; Penny Ritenburg, Treasurer. Debby and Dale Lundmark were introduced as new members of GTS. We also voted on our annual charity donation amounts and distribution. See minutes for details. We were reminded that the December campout will be at Paradise Oaks, Bushnell, Fl. In the meantime, eleven rigs will be traveling to Southern Palms, Eustis for the Fall Florida Good Sam Rally, November 8-13. This will be our Directors, Joe & Debbie Weston's last Rally. Saturday s dinner was a delicious turkey dinner. The turkey and dressing was provided by the Culps and it was moist and delicious. The members provided Thanksgiving like pot luck dishes and some yummy deserts. Your editor enjoyed the meal so much he forgot to take a photo... Afterwards the Wards introduced an A to Z what's in the bag game. Some real mysteries were solved! Sunday morning was sweet things to share with more visiting and good-byes until next month. Thanks to the hosts: Rose Mary & Ken Culp, Bob & Reba Ward. 1
