COMMODORE: SUE CICSO 734.341.4517 suzipom@gmail.com Hey Sunseekers! Congratulations to the newest member of our bridge, Lady Cindy Romak, as the new Recording Secretary! Glad to have you on board! Please support the club this summer! RC Jeannette could really use some help with bartenders on the weekends! Please try your best to volunteer! It is a great way to meet the members and a fun time! You don t need to be an experienced bartender shot and pop drinks or beer most of the time! The Burger Nights have been very successful! Thanks to everyone who has hosted and attended! Still some host spots open for August if you would like to host a burger night! Thanks again to Pam Navarre for hosting the bus to the $1.98 Contest. I was completely in shock they called my name as the winner! All due to the tremendous support of the membership & a little arm pit hair thanks to Carol Carter! Congratulations to FC Matt Jamison for a successful Poker Run to TSC! As usual the Sunseekers came in a droves! Also congrats to FC Matt and Lady Jayne for an awesome Margarita boat party! Everyone had a great time and it was fun to see everyone with their moustaches! Lady Bob and I attended the Opening of the Islands, The Grosse Ile Yacht Club Ball and the PPBC and CCYC Commodore Receptions in June. RC Jeannette Foley and Lady Mark attended the HVYC and WYC Commodore Receptions representing SSBC. Don t forget to submit your SAD (Sunseekers Acting Dysfunctional) award nominations atsad@ssbc.us. I am pretty sure we had a least one during the TSC Poker Run! The Commodore Cruise will be Saturday September 19 th from 7 pm to 10 pm. This is a fundraiser for Commodore Sue and Lady Bob s ball which will be held February 13, 2016. Tickets are on sale at the bar. They are $25/pp. Tickets include pizza/salad, DJ, and gorgeous views of Detroit at night! Thanks to everyone who helped and attended our Wedding celebration! I appreciate those who helped with the tent, decorating the club, and set up! We are thankful to share our special day with so many friends! Huge thanks to Jerry Hollis, Lori Whitaker, and Mike Skowronski for bartending, Teri Prodan for the delicious food, everyone who helped put up and take down the tent, PC Derrick Ball, PC George Hanrahan, and Jerry McGraw and anyone else who kept the tent from flying away, and Jan Marcum and anyone else who helped set up and ensure the caterer and band could set up. We had a fabulous time even with the bad weather conditions! Thanks so much again! Sincerely, Sue Cisco, Commodore

VICE COMMODORE: JEFF UPHOLZER 734.775.7598 jeff@upholzer.com Greetings SunSeekers, It s hard to believe that it is July already. June was a challenging boating month due to all of the rainy days that we had, but we sure cannot complain about the lake water levels this year. A big congratulations to our Commodore, Sue Cisco, for winning the $1.98 contest at Toledo Sailing Club. That makes it a hat trick for SSBC. I m not feeling any pressure at all for a four-peat next year ha! Also, congratulation to Commodore Sue and Lady Bob on their wedding on June 27 th. The wedding reception at the clubhouse was quite the event as well. Kudos to our Fleet Captain, Matt Jamison, on the first AYC Poker Run of the season at TSC. Despite the challenging water conditions in the Maumee River (the logs and debris in the river from all of the high water was unbelievable), there was a great turnout of boats from our club. F/C Matt did an awesome job of getting everyone prepared for the trip. And he and Lady Jayne did a fabulous job of keeping the party going while we were there. Also a big thanks to Pam Navarre for organizing the bus down to TSC. Had we had one more person sign the book or one more boat in the harbor we would have won 2 of the 3 awards. That s a great start to the poker run season! The SunSeeker s Luau is coming up this month (July 17 th and 18 th ) and it is going to be a really fun time. For the first time we are going to hold the event close to home at Humbug Marina. Be sure to buy your tickets at the SSBC bar soon! Friday night: live band featuring The Amelia Airharts at the SSBC Clubhouse. Event pricing at the bar, and pizza for sale by the slice no cover. Saturday at Humbug Marina: Tickets are $30 per person for AYC members and significant others. $35 per person for guests. $40 per person if purchased after July 14th. Ticket price includes an afternoon DJ and live band The Fling during the evening. Hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch and full dinner catered by Pitmaster Barbeque. Keg beer provided (while it lasts) and BYOB at Humbug. Saturday night after 10:30pm: live band featuring Acoustic Dust at the SSBC Clubhouse. Event pricing at the bar, and pizza for sale by the slice no cover. We have negotiated a flat rate of $20 per night per dock at Humbug Marina. Dock reservations can be coordinated through Fleet Captain Matt Jamison. Upcoming Events: Burger nights every Tuesday evening in July 7/4: 4 th of July parade in Gibraltar 7/17-7/18: SSBC Luau at Humbug Marina 8/8 SSBC Dingy Thingy 9/19 Commodore s Cruise on the Diamond Jack 10/17 SSBC Oktoberfest All events are posted on the SSBC website for your convenience and easy access. See you at the club or on the docks! Jeff Upholzer Vice Commodore

REAR COMMODORE: JEANNETTE FOLEY 734.626.9306 jeannettefoley@ymail.com Hello fellow Sunseekers~ I think that we all need to have a little conversation with Mother Nature C mon lady enough of the rain and storms. bring us some sunshine and warmer weather!! Maybe if we talk nicely about her she ll be nicer to us! The June activities have been a lot of fun. First of all, congratulations to Commodore Sue and Lady Bob on their wedding.
