Oakland is 26-2 all-time in the Horizon League (2014-present) in games when leading at halftime. Oakland has led at the break in 12 of 15 games, posting an 11-1 record in those contests. The only loss came to Nevada (11/23) in the Great Alaska Shootout, dropping a 16-point halftime lead to fall 82-78. Despite trailing 39 of 40 minutes in losses to Northeastern and Michigan State, the Golden Grizzlies have led 264 of 320 minutes in the second half of games this season (83% of the time). The Golden Grizzlies are off to a 3-0 start in conference play for the first time since 2010-11. That season Oakland started 10-0 in league play and finished 17-1 in The Summit League, earning its second straight NCAA tournament berth. Oakland is holding opponents to a program-best 0.90 (1,076/1,199) points per possession, while scoring 1.07 (1,281/1,199) points per possession. Oakland continues to share the basketball, dishing out 17.8 assists per game (15th in NCAA). Junior transfer Stevie Clark is No. 29 in the country with 85 assists. Sherron Dorsey-Walker is a NABC Allstate Good Works Team nominee. The final 10 will be announced in early February. Oakland picked up its 750th win in program history in a rout over Oral Roberts (12/1). Coach Greg Kampe enters his 33rd season at Oakland, 3rd-longest tenure in D1 basketball. He trails Syracuse s Jim Boeheim (41st season) and Duke s Mike Krzyzewski (37th season). Oakland has made a 3-pointer in 885 consecutive games, 9th-best streak in the country.
