These decals are available from the Championship Co-ordinator. 3.2 Points will be awarded by position in Class based on the number of starters. A contender starting an event but failing to qualify as a finisher will score 0. In a Class of 5 or more competitors:- 1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 points, 3rd = 3 points, 4th = 2 points, all other classified finishers = 1 point. In a Class of 4 or less competitors:- Points will be awarded from 4 down to 1. The highest placed MSA contender on Index will receive 1 bonus point. 3.3 Ties will be resolved by referring to the following:- The better discarded results will continue to be counted until a result is obtained, if a tie still exists the number of best places will be counted. Should neither of these methods be effective the competitor who gains his Championship points first will be deemed the winner. Should none of these methods be effective the MSA will specify the method to reach a solution. 3.4 The 2018 Champion will be the registered contender with the highest score achieved by taking the best 9 scores from the 13 rounds listed in 6.1. Should less than the 13 rounds be run, then the number of scoring rounds will reduce accordingly, i.e. if only 12 rounds are run then the best 8 scores will count and so on. 3.5 Class positions will be decided on the basis of number of marks scored as in 3.2 to 3.4. 3.6 For an event to count as a points scoring round, a minimum of 20 sections should be run. 4.
