North Ulster Car Club Ltd. Nat B 7 April 2018 Supplementary Regulations 1. North Ulster Car Club Ltd. will on 7 April 2018, organise and promote a National B Sprint at the Nutts Corner Motor Sports Centre. This will be the third round of the 2018 ANICC S W Adair Sprint Championship. 2. This meeting is held under the General Regulations of The Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and the published Supplementary Regulations, the ANICC Sprint Championship Regulations and any other written instructions that the organising club may issue for the event. 3. MSA event permit TBA has been issued for the event. ANICC Championship permit number CH2018/S091 has been issued 4. The event is open to fully elected members of any ANICC affiliated motor clubs, who are holders of current MSA or MI licences which are valid for the above event. Attention is drawn to 2018 MSA Regulation S7.1.5.1. Club membership cards and competition licences will be inspected at signing on. Any competitor failing to produce a valid MSA or MI licence will only be permitted to compete at the discretion of the MSA Steward. 5. Programme of the meeting: Scrutineering (held at the Nutts Corner Motor Sports Centre) 08:00 Practice 10:30 First timed run 13:00 6. All vehicles must comply with the MSA sprint vehicle technical regulations (S10 S12) and all relevant MSA safety requirements MSA Reg K. Competitors will park in the paddock under the instructions of the Paddock Marshals. 7. The course is on tarmac and is of a level nature. Please find attached a copy of the track diagram. A track diagram and a copy of the track licence will be displayed at signing-on on the day of the event. The lap is 1770m in length, with a run being 1.88 laps. Competitors will receive two practice and three timed runs In the event of a large entry, or inclement weather, competitors will be offered a reduction in the number of practice runs. 8. The maximum entry for the event is 90 (including reserves) and the minimum is 55. Should the minimum entry not be reached by the closing date of 4 April 2018, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the meeting. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt up to the maximum for the event and in accordance with D14-D22. Dual entries are accepted as per D17.1. 9. Provisional results will be published at the signing-on office as soon as possible after the meeting. Protests, accompanied by the appropriate fee should be made in accordance with MSA Regulation C5. 15. Competitors who do not follow the track as depicted on these supplementary regulations shall be deemed as having forfeited their run. 16. Ties will be resolved, initially, by the aggregate of the three timed runs. 17. Competitors will have the option of THREE practice runs after walking the course. Attention is drawn to MSA Regulation S2. 18. Cars will start singly with a maximum of three on the course. The starting signal will be lights timing starts at starting signal. Timing will be electronic, activated by timing struts as per MSA Regulation S10.9. A white line will indicate the finish line. Starting order will not strictly be in class order (S9.4.3). 19. Crash helmet and flame resistant overalls must be worn in accordance with K10 and K9. 20. The use of an FIA approved frontal head restraint device is mandatory for sprint competitors, with the exception of those in Roadgoing category vehicles & period defined vehicles (pre-1977). Attention is drawn to S9.2.1. These will be inspected at scrutiny. 21. DUE TO NOISE RELATED ISSUES NO ENGINES MUST BE STARTED UNTIL 0900. 22. The noise levels of competing cars will be tested, with the Sound Test being carried out prior to signing on. Competitor s attention is drawn to J5.18 and to Chart 5.18. Sound scrutiny will take place at the Nutts Corner Motor Sports Centre. 23. Competitors will park and wait for their sound test under instruction of the paddock marshal.
