ROGER HOLMES TRIAL 2019 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 1. ANNOUNCEMENT Cambridge Car Club will promote a Clubmans Car Trial, THE ROGER HOLMES TRIAL on Sunday 20 th January 2019 at Harlton, near Cambridge. This event is a round of the 2018 ASEMC Car Trial championship and the AMSC Trials Challenge. 2. JURISDICTION Held under the General Regulations of the Motorsport UK 2019 (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA), these Supplementary Regulations and any written instructions that the organising club may issue for the event. 3. AUTHORISATION Motorsport UK Permit no. 110126 has been issued for this event 4. ELIGIBILITY The event is open to all fully elected members of Anglian Motor Sport Club, Cambridge Car Club, Cambridge University Auto Club, Eastern Counties Motor Club, Falcon Motor Club, Sporting Car Club of Norfolk, West Suffolk Motorsport Club, and registered competitors in the ASEMC Car Trial championship. All competitors must produce a valid club membership or championship registration card. Competition membership of Cambridge Car Club is available for 5.00 to competitors who are a member of a noninvited club or championship. To encourage newcomers, competitors who are not members of another club are offered a combined CCC full membership and trial entry fee for 33.00. Competitors in the ASEMC championship are required to hold a Clubmans Competition Licence (D4.5.4) 5. PROGRAMME Sunday 20th January 2019 at Claypit Hill, Harlton, near Cambridge. OS map ref 154/380524 SCRUTINEERING opens 08.30 COMPETITORS BRIEFING 09.50 START 10.00 Any competitor not signed on by 09.45 may be excluded at the Clerk of the Course's discretion. 6. FORMAT There will be at least 15 sections on private land. Some or all of the sections may include a stop and restart. Dimensions may be less than specified in T1.3.8. The start and finish are at the location above, public roads will not be used to link sections. 7. CLASSES 1. Two wheel drive production cars first registered on or after 1st January 1998, taxed and driven to the venue, carrying no ballast, max 10kg sumpguard, no modifications 2a. Front wheel drive production cars up to 1400cc not eligible for class 1 2b. Front wheel drive production cars over 1400cc not eligible for class 1 3. Rear wheel drive production cars not eligible for class 1 4. Modified production cars, kit cars, sports cars and specials The organisers' decision as to which class a vehicle shall compete in shall be final. Tyre pressures for each class will be issued on the day. Four wheel drive vehicles and vehicles fitted with a limited slip or torque-biasing differential are not permitted. (T9.4 & T 9.5) All vehicles must comply with Motorsport UK Technical Regulations. We regret we cannot accept electric or hybrid vehicles at this time.
8. AWARDS Awards will be presented as follows: - Best Performance on Index 1st in class 2nd in class (subject to min. 6 entries in class) 1st Novice on B.P.I. 1st CCC member (of 6 months standing) 1st Newcomer The Roger Holmes Memorial Trophy & The Hallen Trophy & A Novice is a driver who has not previously won on a Car Trial. No competitor may win more than one award. All awards will be presented at the finish after the results are declared final, and all award winners must attend to collect them. All named awards remain the property of Cambridge Car Club ltd. and must be returned to the club after 11 months or one month before the next Cambridge Car Club Trial, whichever is sooner. ALL other awards are perpetual. 9. ENTRIES The entry list opens on publication of these regulations and closes on 20th January 2019 at 09.00. Entry fee: 28.00 before 13 th January 33.00 from 13 th to 20th January All entries may be made on the official entry form and accompanied by the appropriate fee (cheque or electronic payment). The minimum is 12. The minimum for each class is 3. Should any of the above minimum figures not be reached, the organisers have the right to either cancel the meeting or amalgamate classes as necessary. Entries will be selected on a first paid first served basis. Entry fees may be refunded IN FULL upon notification in writing of withdrawal being received by the Entries Secretary before 18 th January 2019. 12. RESULTS Provisional results will be published as soon as possible following the end of the event. The organisers will aim to make printed result sheets available at the finish. Results will be posted on the CCC website (www.cambridgecarclub.co.uk) as soon as practical following the event. 14. PROTESTS Any protest must be lodged in accordance with Motorsport UK regulation C5. 15. IDENTIFICATION Competitors will be identified by a number card that will be supplied by the organisers. This card must be displayed on the near side of the car.
16. PASSENGERS Carrying a passenger is optional provided the driver is 17 years of age or older and holds a full RTA driver s licence for cars. A passenger with an RTA licence must be seated alongside any driver who is under 17 years or does not hold an RTA licence. In this case the passenger must also be a member of an invited club and be experienced in car trials. (T4.1, T4.1.3). If a competitor wishes their result in this event to count for the AMSC Trials Challenge then a passenger must be carried in the seat alongside the driver. Competitors shall indicate on the entry form whether they will be carrying a passenger or not. 17. PENALTIES Marking and penalties will be as section T7 of the Motorsport UK General Regulations. Rolling back on a restart will be deemed a fail at that point. Driving at excessive speed on the event field or causing damage to the perimeter fence carries a penalty of 24 points for the first offence and exclusion for the second offence. 18. GENERAL REGULATIONS Vehicles may be double driven. Competitors may enter twice but only in vehicles eligible in different classes and that such an entry does not prevent a reserve entry running. All other GR's of the Motorsport UK not referred to above shall apply as written. 19. THE ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHT The organisers reserve the right, in the event of adverse weather that is likely to damage the venue or impede proper running of the event, to postpone the event to a later date or to shorten the event. This is to ensure the future availability of the venue. Note that all references to rule numbers are to the Motorsport UK 2018 Yearbook. The equivalent rules in the Motorsport UK 2019 Yearbook, even if differently numbered, shall apply to this event.
