After tomorrow night s game wraps up the homestand, the Dodgers travel to San Francisco Thursday night and play three games with the first-place Giants this weekend. The Dodgers are currently 4.0 games behind San Francisco in the NL West. Following the Giants series, the Dodgers will head to Phoenix and play three with the Diamondbacks next week. Despite last night s loss, the Dodgers are 13-4 in their last 17 homes games against the Rockies at Dodger Stadium. Since May 1, the Dodgers have been terrific at home: Dodgers Home Numbers, May 1 Present, with MLB Ranks W-L 12-5 T-3 rd A 2.53 1 st Opp Avg.196 2 nd URCE: STATS, LLC After opening the season with a 6-10 record through their first 16 games at home, the Dodgers have won 10 of their last 13 in Los Angeles. THE KID: Dodger left-hander Julio Urias will make his third Major League start and Dodger Stadium debut tonight. On May 27 against the Mets, Urias, 19, became just the second teenager to start a game in the Major Leagues this century, joining Felix Hernandez (19 years, 118 days), who debuted in 2005. He s the first teenager to suit up for the Dodgers since Adrian Beltre in 1998. Urias was 4-1 with a 1.10 A (5 /41.0 IP) in eight games (seven starts) for Triple-A Oklahoma City and was in the midst of a 27.0-inning scoreless streak at the time of his call up. He had 44 strikeouts against just eight walks and tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in his last outing a week ago vs. Salt Lake City. Urias hails from Sinaloa, Mexico, the birthplace of former Dodgers Juan Castro, Antonio Osuna and Dennys Reyes. IT S ABOUT THAT TIME: This Thursday, June 9, MLB Network will televise the first round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft and the Dodgers will have a very busy day. Los Angeles currently owns picks No. 20, No. 32 (compensation pick for losing Zack Greinke) and No. 36 (compensation pick for not signing Kyle Funkhouser, who was taken at No. 35 last year) on the first day. Coverage of the event begins at 3:00 p.m. PT and the first pick is scheduled to be made around 4 p.m. HILLTOPPS: The Dodgers have won 10 of their last 15 games, mostly thanks to a strong performance by the club s pitching staff: Dodger NL Ranks Since May 22 Wins 10 2 nd A 2.59 2 nd (40 /139.0 IP) >Relievers 1.49 1 st (9 /54.1 IP) Opponents Avg..184 1 st Strikeouts 150 1 st WHIP 0.90 1 st Overall, the Dodgers rank fourth in the Majors with a 3.43 team A, including a 3.22 bullpen A (64 /179.0 IP), which ranks third in the National League.
