Lindsey Wilson vs. MidAmerica Nazarene Lindsey Wilson Sports Information @LWCAthletics Women s Basketball Notes Scouting MidAmerica Nazarene The Pioneers are ranked 15th in the NAIA Top 25 Poll and are 9-4 overall on the 2014-15 season. Daria Sprew leads the team in 2014-15 with 13.8 points per game. Sprew was named an NAIA All-America Honorable Mention at the conclusion of last season. Megan Balcom and Tristin Wicks are second and third on the team with 11.5 and 11.0 points per game, respectively. First Meeting and Opponent History This is the first time ever Lindsey Wilson and MidAmerica Nazarene have met. MidAmerica Nazarene hails from the Heart of America Athletic Conference and is located in Olathe, Kan. The Pioneers have been one of the top teams in the HAAC capturing three straight Conference Tournament championships. Last Time Out Lindsey Wilson defeated Southeastern (Fla.) on Dec. 20 74-59. Kayla Richardson led the team with 14 points, while Cassidy Martin tallied 13 points. The Blue Raiders shot 35.4 percent from the floor and outrebounded Southeastern 50-32. On the Brink Chanel Roberts is just 4 blocks away from cracking the top 10 on the school s all-time list for most career blocks. The Radcliff, Ky., native has 26 total rejections in her career, blocking six shots thus far in 2014-15. Nonconference Success The Blue Raiders are 9-1 this season against nonconference opponents. The squad s biggest victory came against Miami Middletown (Ohio) on Nov. 7 by a score of 92-63. Player to Watch Cassidy Martin has been an integral part of the Blue Raider offense this season. Martin is averaging 13.6 points per game this year and has scored in double-figures the last three games. Martin s best game thus far came in a 78-73 loss against Webber International (Fla.) on Dec. 19 when she scored a season-high 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
