Due to Insurance Requirements all entries must submit Proof of Insurance. ENTRY FEES: Non-commercial: Received by June 22 nd $35.00 Commercial: Received by June 22 nd $55.00 Late Entries accepted until June 29 th add $10.00 Entries will not be accepted after June 29 th. Fees are not refundable. An entry may have a maximum of one (1) power unit. Additional power units must register as a separate entry. The Molalla Area Chamber of Commerce has the right to limit the number of entries per any one person, group or organization. Your Entry Receipt package this year contains your Parade Number! Bring it with you. There will be a $5.00 fee to replace it on the Fourth. Just show your number to the check in person, this will speed up your entry. There will be a lost or I forgot my number location on site, bring the correct fee, $5.00 with you!
Parade Information The rules and regulations are designed with safety issues in mind. Alcohol, other intoxicants, and drugs are not allowed in any staging area or in the parade. Anyone giving the resemblance of being under the influence of narcotics or intoxicants will be asked to leave and will forfeit all entry fees and/or prizes. The Molalla Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse entries that do not meet the specifications as set forth in the rules and regulations. Entries violating the rules and regulations are subject to removal from the Parade by any Law Enforcement Officer, Fire Department Personnel or Parade Official and/or disqualification of participation in future parades. Standard entry closes June 22 nd. Late entry after June 22 nd will be $10 extra. No entries will be accepted after June 29 th. A single entry may consist of no more than one (1) power unit. Return the initialed rules & regulations with the application 2018 Parade Route Important Departure Information The parade ends on Main Street when you approach the grass parking lot at Heckard Field just before Cole Street. The only entries that will be allowed to come down Cole are equestrians and any walking entry. All moving vehicles must continue on Main Street. Those wishing to go north or return to Hwy 213 should take the Y to the left, proceed to Union Mills Rd and turn left to return to Hwy 213. Those wishing to go south toward Silverton, should take the Y to the right continue on Mathias Rd to Eves Rd, turn right, proceed to Sawtell, turn right, proceed to Wilhoit Rd, turn left and proceed to Dart Rd or Thomas Rd, turn right and return to Hwy 213. Please do not use Shirley Street unless absolutely necessary. The use of Shirley will only add to the congestion of those attending the rodeo.

Release of Liability Your signature indicates that you have read and understood this Agreement, and agree to abide by the terms set forth. I desire to voluntarily participate in the 4 th of July Molalla Giant Street Parade (the Parade ) upon my own initiative, risk, and responsibility. In consideration for permitting me to participate in the Parade, I hereby release and forever discharge the Molalla Area Chamber of Commerce, Sponsors of the Chamber of Commerce or Parade, the Molalla Buckeroo Association, the City of Molalla, their officers and agents, their individual and business members, their successors and assigns (collectively the Released Parties ), acting officially or otherwise, from any and all claims, demands, actions or causes of action (a Claim ), on account of my death, injury, or loss of any sort, or on account of the death or injury to any family member or of any animal owned by me which may occur as a result of or arise from, my participation in or preparation for the parade, regardless of how arising, including any such Claim resulting from the negligence of a Released Party. This release also includes any Claim for damage or loss of any vehicle, trailer, horse or float owned, managed, or operated by me and includes any preparation for the Parade, any movement to, from, or during the Parade. I further represent that any vehicle, trailer, or float that I enter and/or operate in the Parade is safe with no known mechanical or safety defects, for which I will inspect. I will not operate nor will I allow the operation of any vehicle, trailer, or float owned or operated by me in an unsafe or reckless manner. If my entry includes an animal or animals, I agree that the animal(s) will be kept under control at all times, during, before and after the Parade. I am aware that any animal(s) can be removed from the Parade by any Fire Department Representative, Parade Official, or Public Safety Officer, for any reason, including if the animal is deemed to be out of control or of danger to any other participant and/or spectator. I further represent that I will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties, acting officially or otherwise, from any and all Claims, demands, actions or causes of action which may arise or result from or out of my/our participation in or preparation for Parade activities, including but not limited to, Claims from any person who rides in or on or be around my vehicle, trailer, horse and/or float. This release is binding on my heirs, successors, assigns, executors, administrators and personal representatives. Rules and Regulations Please initial beside each of the rules, even if you think it does not apply to you. This must be returned with your application form. Thank you. Application: Application must be filled out completely. Choose only one category. Sign the Liability release. Insurance: All entries must be insured and submit a Certificate Of Liability by June 30. Drivers: All towing vehicles, automobiles, trucks or equipment must be operated by a licensed adult, age 21+. Entry Check In: All entries must have an entry number displayed. Check in opens at 6:15 a.m. Closes at 8:50 a.m. You must have your Entry Number prior to the Parade. Check in with your number! Replacements are available for $5.00. next to the check inn location. Floats, Automobiles, Tractors, Marching Units & Special: Main driveway entrance to High School Equestrian: Field across from Buckeroo Grounds on Shirley Street Trucks/Heavy Equipment/Specialty Rigs: Corner of Shirley & Cole Judging: 7:45 a.m. sharp. Entries not in the area designated by parade officials at 7:45 a.m. or they will not be judged! No exceptions. Judging based on parade attire and decorations must be worn or in place throughout the parade. If removed prior to parade, then that entry forfeits judging in succeeding years. Attendance: All entries must be attended at all times. Line up will begin around 9:10 a.m. Participants: Participants may not get on and off floats, horses, tractors or other conveyances for the duration of the parade. Participants must also remain inside any vehicle in which they are riding. NO Stopping to perform: All units must stay within 30feet of each other. All entries must be moving in nature forward motion must be maintained. Searches: All entries are subject to searches with reason by the Molalla Police or any other Law Enforcement Agency. Fireworks/poppers: No fireworks or poppers are allowed. Firearms or projectile weapons: No firearms or projectile weapons of any type, real or play (including water guns, nerf guns, air soft guns, etc.)are allowed. The only exceptions will be firearms carried by a recognized military honor guard or active, recognized, U.S. Military personnel, with a special permit issued by the Molalla Police Department. No Flammables: Entries may not emit any flame or flammable substances. Tractors/Mowers: Any unit equipped with a mower deck must have the deck locked in place and blade disengaged. ATV & Motorcycle Limitations: Operator/driver must be a legally licensed driver or person age 16+ with proof of training in an accredited ATV course. Helmets must be worn at all times. Motorized toy vehicles operated by children age 15 and under must be equipped with a remote power kill switch. An accompanying parent must be in physical control of said remote kill switch and vehicle at all times. Proof of the kill switch and workability must be demonstrated the morning of the 4 th or the entry will not be allowed to proceed in the parade. Entry must be able to travel the entire parade route and maintain a speed up to 3 miles per hour. No excessive Speed: At no time may there be a display of sexcessive speed or power by any motor vehicle. Dogs: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and under control by the handler. Those not under control are subject to removal. Equestrian Information: The staging area for the equestrian entrants will not open until 6 a.m. Do not arrive earlier than that time. All entrants must park in designated areas. Those not parking in the designated area will be required to move to the proper area. All horse trailers and support vehicles must exit the parking area immediately after the parade. In the event you are planning to stay for the Molalla Buckeroo Rodeo, a parking fee will be assessed. Fees must be paid to the Molalla Rotary Club at the main gate. Please observe all traffic control signs. Exit only through the indicated driveway
at the far eastern end of the parking lot. Important: All animals must be kept under control at all times, including before, during, and after the Parade. Any animal that is deemed to be out of control or to be of a danger to any other participant and/or spectator can and will be removed from the parade by any Fire Department Representative, Parade Official and/or Public Safety Officer. Age limitations: The Equestrian Youth categories are for youth 16 & under. (All exceptions must be approved.) Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Those under age 10 must be led by an adult. Glossary of Terms Commercial entry: Any entry entered for the purpose of advertising a business or enterprise. An entry may consist of no more than one (1) power unit. Automobiles, Pickups & Motorcycles Vintage to 72: Model year of 1964 and prior Classic: 65 79: Model year between and including 1973 and 1979. Muscle Car: Custom: Commercial Auto: Street Rods: Contemporary: Motorcycle: ATV s: Golf Carts: Military: Watercraft: Factory equipped with high horse power An altered vehicle other than categories listed.
