Our Seafood Festival is hosted by The Port Salerno Commercial Fishing Dock Authority, Inc., a not for profit formed July 13, 2004. The Festival began as a neighborhood fish fry and dock party along the waterfront of Port Salerno. In 2006, while the Port Salerno community was in the midst of a redevelopment phase, a small group gathered to take the fish fry to the next level in an effort to bring positive awareness to Salerno s historic commercial fishing industry and garner support for the community. It was a resounding success and attendance has grown steadily each year ever since. More than 35,000 attended in 2018, enjoying what is now one the most successful Waterfront Seafood Festivals on Florida s East Coast! Every year the Festival renews its commitment to the community by working with local organizations and sharing the proceeds. The 2018 Seafood Festival proceeds are being distributed to the IRSC Girls Volley Ball Team, Martin County 4-H Club, Junior League of Martin County, Murray Middle School, Port Salerno Elementary, Pine Rest Cemetery, the Pt. Salerno United Methodist Church, Stuart Rotary, Stuart-Sunrise Rotary, Treasure Coast Rowing Club and the Treasure Coast Waterway Peck Lake Reef Dive Cleanup. Additionally we partnered with the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast to send 18 kids fishing with the Martin County Sheriff s Community Outreach program. These children all had their very first, out on the water fishing experience and everyone went home with fish. Important Tips and Deadlines Media Deadlines: November 5, 2018 All monthly Publications December 7, 2018 Most print and digital media December 31, 2018 All promotions including: final run of posters & fliers, event program, event t-shirts, all onsite promotion (banners, posters, signboards and video promo) Note: Please recognize that the Holiday Season plays a big factor in our production and we must finalize all orders within the first week of January. Vendor Deadlines: Standard Rates End December 31, 2018 Vendors Applying after December 31st will pay an additional $50 After Deadline Fee beginning January 1st, 2019 January 11, 2019 Vendor Space Sales closes Note: Returning vendors will be given the first right of refusal of vending space and will be reviewed for acceptance in the order in which their application is received. All logos must be camera ready and in high resolution. (minimum 300 dpi) We can accept most file formats; however, jpg, png or pdf files are preferred. Page 2
Last Year s Marketing In 2018, the Port Salerno Seafood Festival leveraged $85,000 in marketing dollars. We saw record crowds that by all accounts well exceeded 30,000 attendees.
