During that 7,920-game streak, the Cubs were held to one hit 22 times conversely, the team collected 10 or more hits 3,032 times including 37 games with at least 20 hits thanks to Ed Hartig for his assistance. Yesterday s no-hitter was the first at Wrigley Field since the Cubs Milt Pappas turned the trick vs. San Diego, September 2, 1972 it was the first by a Cubs opponent at the Friendly Confines since August 19, 1965 (gm. 1) vs. the Reds Jim Maloney.
