Under new management, the Seashore Striders will be your host this year as we look forward to providing you with a quality event here at the Beach. The swim and bike remains the same, however the run course will be new this year which will eliminate bikers and runners heading to transition in the same direction. This was done for your safety. We have also moved the transition area to the main beach parking lot, which will be a lot closer for you following the exit from the swim. A quick reminder in that we ask all athletes and spectators to arrive before 6:30am and not leave the park until after the last bike has arrived into the park around 9:00 am. This is for the safety of all participants. Thank you in advance for your understanding. For those of you who are new to multisport events and chip timing, we strongly encourage you to attend the First Timers Meeting/transition and swim clinic scheduled for 1:30pm on Saturday at the race location. This will be your opportunity to learn about the race course, review the contents of your race packet and have all of your questions concerning the race answered. I will be available to answer questions as well as our speaker Bruce Clayton of TriCoach. At the post race awards ceremony, be sure to enjoy a brew on us as well as Dogfish will be our main sponsor of the event. Over 21 only, of course. Hope to see you at the race! Tim Bamforth Race Director Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.

PACKET INFORMATION Packet Pickup Packet pickup is typically held the day before the race (1-3 pm) and the morning of the race (6-7 am) at the Main Beach Lot on the South West Side. You must show your picture ID in order to receive your packet. Also, you may not pickup a packet for another athlete and all members of a relay team must be present in order to receive the packet. Packet Pickup Procedures: When you arrive at packet pickup, we will have several bike racks available for you to rack your bike while you go through the line. When you come to the tables, please look your name up on an alphabetized list and tell us your race number. We will then pull your race bag and check your picture ID. The next step is to receive your timing chip. A Seashore Strider staff member will pull your timing chip in the AM on RACE DAY as you head to transition. The timing chips have a race number on the face of the chip and the neoprene band. Please be sure to verify that your timing chip numbers match all race labeling numbers before starting the race. Custom Tech T-Shirt Custom Tech Performance T-Shirt in the gender size you asked for Bike Number

Place on your crossbar or seat post. Run Bib Must be worn on the FRONT for backup timing and photo alignment. Swim Cap Colored swim cap indicates which wave you will start in for Triathlons. Cap color should match the information on your packet. Wristband Used for Transition Area security. The wristband must be on before entering transition area and should be kept on until after you leave the race. This is also what we will use for the post-race refreshmants. Refreshments are only for the athletes. If you are interested in a cold DogFish Brew following the race, we have budgeted for 2 beers per athlete. We will punch your wristband when you receive the cold one. Please be responsible & considerate thank you! Should you have a breakdown during the race, the Strider Van will be roaming the course to furnish you and your bike with a ride back to the race site. At any time, if event management, it s staff, or volunteers deem that your bike is unsafe, you will be asked to rectify the situation before being allowed to enter the transition area and race.
