WWLOA Officials Recruitment Severe need for Adults Officials for HS games HS Players for our Junior Officials Program Recruitment Materials emailed to each program $100 Buddy Bonus to any Official who brings in a new ADULT official who officiates 5 games GAME PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO HAVE MET THEIR RECRUITING REQUIREMENTS $200 Fine for NOT meeting Ref Recruitment Requirements WWLOA - www.wwloa.org

2019 Season Schedule Change Request Teams shall communicate to each other and find a mutually agreeable solution to a change from the published schedule and then submit the change request to scheduler@wslax.org All HS Game changes are due by Feb 8, 2019 Email agreed upon changes in this format Include admin@wslax.org and all relevant parties on the email SUBJECT: HS SCHEDULE CHANGE Current Game as Scheduled include home team, away team, date, time and location New Game Change include home team, away team, date, time and location In-Season game changes must be communicated to the scheduler@wslax.org NO LATER than 7 days before scheduled game
2019 Season Sideline Manager Each team (home and away) will provide a sideline manager whose duty shall be to control the actions of spectators to standards of proper conduct MISCONDUCT Yellow Card Protocol Sanction Protocol: 1 st Yellow: Official warning to player, coach and club 2 nd Yellow; 1 st Red: Mandatory 1 game suspension; Call with WSLA Sportsmanship committee, player, coach and club 3 rd Yellow; 2 nd Red: Mandatory 2 game suspension; Face to face WSLA Sportsmanship Committee hearing to determine severity of penalty which could include further game suspension, possible minimum 4 game suspension, possible suspension from remainder of the season (possible to carry over to next season); possible Club fine and sanctions. 2019 Season New Rules Interpretation Mandatory for coaches each year Feb 9, 11-Noon at Seattle Pacific University Feb 24, 11-Noon at Bellevue College Scorer/Timer Clinics Mandatory that 1 rep from each program attend Feb 9, 10am via Go To Meeting March 2, 10am via Go To Meeting Must Sign in on a Computer to be counted
Score, Stats & Card Reporting Upload Scores/Stats to WSLAX.ORG Due as soon after game as possible (3 hours max) Yellow and Red cards reported with game stats Officials will report Yellow/Red cards for Misconduct to WSLA ED Varsity All-Conf post game form Due as soon after game as possible (24 hours max) Basis for league awards Game Summaries and Stories Send to pr@wslax.org
2019 Playoff Process Varsity 6 conferences Playoff Process is unchanged from 2018 Winner of Conference Automatically Qualifies Remainder of Playoff Qualifiers will be based on rankings (yes, LaxPower is no more, but we will use a ranking system that is very similar). JV As with 2018, will play 10 games to accommodate later registration schedule
All Conference Award Process Recognize 14 players per conference (70 total) Top players recognized after each game Both Home and Visiting head coach will vote separately online Vote for best opposing Attack, Midfield and Defense player and best Goalie of the game You do not need to vote for each position Voting must be done within 24 hours after game WSLA will provide a list of top players selected, player stats and cards for the season Conference Winning Coach will lead a coaches meeting (via Skype or conf call that will happen mid May) with other inconference coaches and a WSLA Rep to determine All-Conf team (1 goalie, 3 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 3 attack players and two from any position). Players recognized during the State Championship Game
All State Award Process Recognize 18 players Based upon All Conference team players and post season play State Champion head coach will lead a selection committee comprised of all of the conference winning head coaches, state runner up head coach, semi-final coaches and a member of the WSLA board or WSLA ED 18 players selected 1 goalie, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 4 attack players and 6 players who may be from any position All State Players will be announced within 10 days after the championship game All-Conference and All-State selections will be based upon player game nominations, individual statistics and other criteria. Player awards are intended to reflect the best players in the state and may or may not reflect proportionally across all conferences.
All American & All Academic USL guidelines/ rules WSLA will get 6 slots for BOTH AA and AAA Criteria will be sent to all coaches (not on-line yet) Nominations DUE May 1 AA/AAA Nomination Committee will send out list of 10-12 players with bios ALL COACHES HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO VOTE
