It is bordered by lush hinterland rainforest and stretches along 57 kilometres of stunning coastline in South- Eastern Queensland. The Gold Coast sees 300 days of sunshine each year, and is the perfect place to hone your golf skills during the winter months of the Northern Hemisphere. The Gold Coast benefits from having a major International Airport with daily direct flights to many Asian destinations. One of Australia s major international airports, Brisbane International Airport, is only a 45 minute drive away. 3
English Study: Bond University College Bond University College is centrally located at the heart of Bond University s beautiful campus on the Gold Coast. Tour participants will be exposed to a unique English learning environment. Their experienced and world-renowned team of teachers are highly qualified and will make it their absolute priority to ensure each student achieves their study goals. Bond Facilities: Bond University Sports Centre Tour Participants studying at Bond University College will be provided with full access to world-class training and gymnasium facilities. The elite sporting facility measures 2,700 sqm and encompasses a gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, three group exercise rooms, two beach volleyball courts, a dedicated function area and linkage pathways with Bond s famous Olympic size pool. 4
Mentoring: During the two week program, ALPG elite coaches will provide mentoring to tour attendees on all aspects of the game. Our ALPG Mentors will provide advice, strategies and mental training based on their vast experiences playing on the world s leading women s tours. With more than 40 years of tournament experience and multiple wins on global tours between them, Australia s ALPG elite such as Shani Waugh and Jenny Sevil will work closely with participants in achieving their specific goals on and off the course. Jenny Sevil s expertise is mind training, drawing from her years of experience on world tours. In addition to mentoring from ALPG s elite coaches, participants will also have access to leading Australian golf health and fitness experts, who can provide advice and golf specific fitness programs. The ALPG Elite Golf and Study Tour is a fantastic opportunity to be mentored by some of Australia s best female golfers, in addition to extending their knowledge and gaining an unforgettable cultural exchange. 5
Golf Membership: Palm Meadows Golf Course Participants will receive temporary membership of Palm Meadows Golf Club. A challenging 250-hectare par 72 course designed by Graham Marsh measuring 6,319 metres off the championship tees. The course boasts opening and closing holes rated among the greatest in Australian golf, with water coming into play on 14 holes and 82 sand bunkers around the course. Palm Meadows Golf Club has played host to many major PGA and ALPG Championships, including the Australian Ladies Masters. Golf Training Facility: The Golf School, Palm Meadows Tour participants will be supported by leading ALPG & PGA of Australia coaches at The Golf School, Palm Meadows. The Golf School is home to the latest and most innovative technology available in golf today, including Trackman, GC2 Launch Monitor and Focus Band. The Golf School is a leading club fitting centre on the Gold Coast. Participants will also have access to elite custom fittings during the program. 6
Accommodation: Living in homestay is an enriching experience where students can practice English every day and learn more about the Australian culture. The ALPG will work closely with homestay providers to select suitable, passionate golfing families on the Gold Coast as hosts during the participants stay. Transport: ALPG will provide all Tour Participants with transfers to and from the airport, their accommodations, Palm Meadows Golf Club, practice facilities and Bond University. ALPG Pro-Am/Tour School: There may be an opportunity to combine your itinerary with attending ALPG Tour Qualifying School and ALPG Pro-ams. We can advise on these dates when the Tour schedule is finalised each year. 7
2019 ALPG Tour: In 2019 ALPG will be introducing a Qualifying School, which will be held in Ballarat (Victoria) in late January 2019. The Bond Study Tour can provide an ideal warm up in Australia prior to attending the Qualifying School. Study Tour participants are most welcome to coincide their tour travel dates to work in with the ALPG Qualifying School and or Pro-ams. Qualifying School for 2019 ALPG Tour More details will be released once the tour schedule is finalised. Details: 54-Hole event to be played at the Ballarat Golf Club Entry Fee: TBC Criteria: Players finishing in the top 20 can choose to take up ALPG Membership Exemptions for ALPG events 2019 (for those taking up ALPG membership) Details on exemptions from Qualifying School for each tournament will be released once the tour schedule is finalised.
