Brothers & Co-Workers, Governor s Corner Samuel North I would like to start by congratulating Nancy Copley on receiving her Green Cap honors. I know you worked hard to get it, and you deserve it. We are all very proud of you. Spring has sprung and we have some new fun activities planned for your enjoyment. Starting on April 7 th, we will be forming a steel tip dart league. We have four new dart boards in the back room, so come join the dart league and enjoy the fun and fellowship. Also on April 7 th, we will start Open Mic Night. Every Tuesday night we will have live entertainment for your enjoyment. If you can play an instrument or sing a song, come show off your talent. On April 12 th, we will be celebrating our 101 st birthday of our lodge. We will have a cookout with hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the Lodge, so bring a side dish to share and come celebrate with us. In closing, I want to say it was an honor to represent our Lodge as your Governor through the 2014-2015 centennial year. We have come a long way, and I am excited to see where we are going. Fraternally, Sam North, Governor Check Out Our Lodge on Moosepages! http://lodge1514.moosepages.org/ 3

From the Desk of the Administrator Ed Frankiewicz April 11, 2015, Loyal Order of Moose will be celebrating its 127th anniversary and the Hampton Moose Lodge will be celebrating its 101st birthday. Where has the time gone? It only seems like yesterday that we elected and were swearing in our newest cabinet of both men and women officers, and like clockwork or calendarwork, that time is upon us again. I must say that you have appointed and elected a fine bunch of Brothers and Co- Workers to lead our tiny lodge into the 2015-2016 year. Now that we have our 100th birthday out of the way we must put Eyes Forward on our next century and steer our lodge home to the road of success. Looking back, it was a productive year. We made some changes; heck, it seems that we re always changing, and along with any change you will experience growing pains. We re financially healthier than we were at this time last year. A lot brighter, cleaner, happier, and our ranks have swelled. Thanks to all of your hard work, we are a better lodge. We are doing so many wonderful things in the name of Moose. We sponsored the Tab Tigers Basketball program and we re sponsoring a youth team at the Phoebus Little League known as Hampton Moose 1514 (catchy name, isn t it?). We re constantly trying to get an Automatic Defibrillator for the Lodge, BINGO, Senior BINGO and Moose Charities. Maintenance on an old building isn t cheap or easy. The list goes on and on. I thank you for all you ve done and I thank you in advance for your support of all of our Lodge s leadership and its endeavors. Without you we are nothing but an old building with a leaky roof. Enjoy your Spring. Fraternally, Ed Frankiewicz, Administrator 4

Special Meeting In accordance with the requirements of the General Laws of the Supreme Lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose, you are hereby notified that a special membership meeting of Hampton Lodge Number 1514 will be held at 8:00pm on April 16, 2015 at the lodge home located at 207 East Mercury Boulevard in Hampton, Virginia. Please attend! Ed Frankiewicz, Administrator 5

Phoebus Little League This Spring, the Hampton LOOM 1514 is sponsoring a Phoebus Little League team. Their uniforms will proudly display the Hampton Moose 1514 name. This is simply one example of our lodge making a difference in our community. Little League is a great way for children to learn about teamwork. They are building skills on and off of the field. It takes dedication to be a member of a team just like it takes the dedication of our members to continue to grow our Lodge. Future issues of our newsletter will include the game schedule and a picture of the team. They would love to see our members rooting for them in the bleachers! Senior Regent s Corner Renee Rose It is hard to believe this is the last letter I will write for the Senior Regent s Corner. This year has passed quickly. I was so excited to see a new Board of Officers elected in March. While I will miss many aspects of being the Senior Regent, I am happy to hand the gavel over to our incoming Senior Regent, my mother, Wanola Rose. My mother has always represented everything I wanted to be as a woman. Strong, independent and willing to lend a hand when needed. She is everything a Chapter needs in an Officer. Our other incoming Officers are JoAnn O Connell, Junior Regent and Sharon Thayer, Secretary/Treasurer. Together, these women are going to lead our Chapter into a stronger future. It is such an exciting time to be a part of Chapter 349. Note: Our Recorder will be voted on in April. So many people have supported our Chapter throughout the past year. From buying raffle tickets to assisting with dinners, your contributions were greatly appreciated. I know that not everyone has the time or ability to lend a hand; however, I encourage you to attend meetings. Find out what our Chapter is doing and let your voice be heard. I d like to take this opportunity to thank the LOOM for sponsoring the Volunteer Appreciation Banquet. It was such a successful event and I was so happy to be able to call out the names of those people that helped our Chapter and our Lodge during the 2014-2015 Chapter year. Each of you deserved your moment in the spotlight. Sincerely, Renee Rose, Senior Regent 22
