example Reason #1: No Permanent Shelter In the Paleolithic Era, having no permanent shelter was a significant aspect because it allowed them to move around and attain more food. In Chapter 3, page 28, it states, "...people lived in caves... these shelters were temporary because hunter-gatherers often moved to follow wild animals or find new plants to eat." For example, since they did not need to stay in one place, early humans were able to walk around to find animals to hunt and fruits to gather. Therefore, having no permanent shelter proved to be important because it meant that early humans were staying nourished and healthy.
