Breed Division Christel Carlson (S-WA) R DSHB S Dressage Christel Carlson is an S dressage, R DSHB and FEI 3* paraequestrian judge. She owns Spokane Sport Horse Farm, a 150 acre boarding, breeding and show facility where she has hosted Dressage and DSHB shows for over 21 years (seven a year) and now two yearly USEA events (soon to be thru intermediate). She actively competed for many years on horses she bred and trained, first on jumpers, then eventing and eventually concentrating on dressage while earning her bronze, silver and gold USDF medals. She loves traveling to new venues to see gorgeous horses and talented riders and was thrilled to be invited to officiate here. Still quite active in her anesthesia practice at Sacred Heart Medical Center her weekends are shared between travel and hospital

call. Her interest and training in acupuncture will finally be used as she transitions from a full time operating room practice over the next few years. Active on the board of Spokanimal (humane society), she has two dogs and cats that she adopted from them. She is greatly blessed that her daughter Cyra shares her love of horses and competition. Janet Foy (USA) R DSHB & FEI 5* Janet is an FEI 4* judge, USEF S Dressage Judge and a USEF Sporthorse R Breed Judge. She has judged at major shows in the US including the FEI North American Young Rider Championships, the FEI North American Junior Championships, The USA World Cup League Finals, Dressage at Devon, USET Festival of Champions and FEI shows across the country. Her international judging has included FEI World Cup League Finals and CDI*** in South America, Europe, Canada and Australia. Janet is a member of the USDF Executive Board and the USEF Board of Directors, a member of the USEF Dressage Committee and the International High Performance Dressage Committee. She is also on the USDF L Faculty and instructs judges training programs throughout the US for dressage and sporthorse breeding. Gwen Ka awaloa (R-CO) R DSHB R Dressage r Western Dressage Originally from Hawaii, Gwen settled in Colorado after graduating from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. She is currently working on improving and moving up the Judging scale with the US Equestrian Federation. At this time she is a USEF "R" Dressage and Dressage Sport Horse Judge and has earned her US Dressage Federation Gold, Silver and Bronze rider medals. Gwen is instructor, trainer and barn owner of Kaimana Farms and Kaimana Equestrian, LLC, in Elizabeth, Colorado. Gwen enjoys the journey from training through Grand Prix. Safarie, for instance, was purchased as a three-year-old, earned the Region V Colt Championship in 2002, and in 2012 competed at Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle. She is currently training a homebred mare who was the Region V Filly Champion as a Yearling and Two Year Old.

Janine Malone (R-NC) R DSHB R Dressage Janine Malone has had a lifelong involvement with horses. She is a USEF R Dressage judge, R Dressage Sport Horse Breeding judge, R Dressage Technical Delegate and a Level 3 FEI Chief Steward for Dressage. She was USDF Region 1 Director from 1996-2001, USDF Secretary for eleven years, and the USEF Vice-President for FEI Affiliates for several years. Janine has been an instructor/trainer, has competed through the Prix St. Georges level and is a graduate A Pony Clubber. She organized an FEI-recognized event (CDI Raleigh) for seventeen years, and is owner/manager of a breeding farm in North Carolina. She received the first ABIG/USDF Volunteer of the Year award in 1998 and a USDF Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. For almost 20 years, Janine was also an Eventing judge, TD and organizer, and she served the U.S. Pony Clubs in various volunteer capacities, including Regional Supervisor and National Examiner. Janine is a charter member and past President of the NCDCTA and has managed past AHSA and Ljungquist Championships, as well as USEF Dressage and Dressage Sport Horse Breeding judge s clinics. On several occasions, she has been a clinician for the USEF Dressage Technical Delegate clinic. For many years, Janine has been active on several USDF and USEF committees, and is currently a member of the USEF Dressage, Continuing Education, and Competition Management committees. She is also a board member of the Association of International Dressage Event Organizers (AIDEO) and organizing committee chairman for the US Dressage Finals. Janine owns and operates Rosinburg Events LLC, which organizes several dressage competitions in North Carolina and Virginia Performance Division Elke Ebert (GER) FEI 4*

In addition to his job as a manager in a family business, Elke s achievements in the equestrian world are admirable. He has received the Golden Riding Award (Goldenes Reitabzeichen), has won classes through Intermediaire II. He has been a 4* International Judge**** since 2007 and, in addition, is a 5* judge for disable riders. Elke is a member of the Dressage Committee ( Deutschen Olympiade Komitee ) which works with pony riders, juniors and young riders. He is also a member of the education committee of the Deutsche Richtervereingung. Janet Foy (see above) Thomas Lang (AUT) FEI 5* Thomas Lang began his equestrian career competing in dressage and show jumping competitions, continuing with Dressage competitions until reaching Grand Prix and international competitions. He has been a 5*Judge since 2013, judging World Cup Finals and Olympic Games. He has been a Dressage trainer for many years and has trained up to Grand Prix level. He conducts clinics and seminars for judges, trainers and riders. Kjell Myhre (NOR) FEI 4*, FEI 5* Kjell Myhre lives in Oslo Norway. He has a BA Hons. Degree in Business Studies from University of Stirling, Scotland, UK. He started his career working for the City Council of Oslo, Department of Education. In 1998, he was offered a position as consultant for training and education at the Norwegian Equestrian Federation, and from 2000 to 2010 he had the position as Secretary General at the Federation. In 2011, he stepped down as Secretary General, and left the federation. After three years working for a small NGO called Hest og Helse (Horses and Health), Kjell Is now back in the equestrian federation working as development consultant, mainly dealing with the riding clubs and their ability to contribute to the main objectives of the federation Equestrian sport for everyone.

Kjell started riding at the age of 12 and has competed nationally up to Intermediate I. He has been a dressage judge since 1990, and became a 4* FEI judge in 2007. In addition to being a FEI dressage judge, Kjell is a 5* FEI Para-dressage judge, and has judged the last 4 Paralympics. Some of his highlights as a 4* FEI judge have been to judge two World Cup qualifiers, as well as the US Championships for junior and young riders in 2011, and the European Championships for junior and young riders in 2013. Gary Rockwell (USA) FEI 5* Gary Rockwell is an International FEI 5* Dressage Judge and USDF L Faculty Member. As a member of the United States Equestrian Team, Gary Rockwell represented the U.S. in competition throughout Europe. He and his Danish mare Suna won a Team Silver medal at CHIO Rotterdam in 1993 and a Team Bronze at the 1994 World Championships at The Hague, Netherlands. As a USEF judge for more than 25 years, he officiated at many regional finals and national championships. As a FEI judge, he officiated at North American Young Rider Championships, FEI Challenge Tours, European Championships, four World Cup Finals, the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong and the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Debbie Rodriguez (USA) FEI 3* Raised in a military family, Debbie Rodriguez has studied a wide variety of riding styles and training methods in such locations as Virginia and Germany. She started competing in several disciplines, but mostly just had fun riding. Debbie graduated from Lake Erie College with a dual major in Equestrian Studies and Business Administration. After college she worked in the management of several facilities, among them the Bowie Horse Center, the Prince Georges Equestrian Center, and Drummonds Stables.

She holds USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medals, and is a USEF S dressage judge and a USEF r eventing judge. Since 1989 she has been a freelance instructor and trainer in the Williamsburg, VA area. In addition to riding, teaching, and judging Debbie is the show manager of Dressage at Lexington, a favorite USEF/USDF dressage show at the Virginia Horse Center. After becoming certified as an ISSA personal trainer Debbie developed the popular 'Success In The Saddle-a core fitness program for equestrians. Natacha Waddell (BRA) FEI 4*/YH Natacha Waddell holds dual citizenship, French and Brazilian, but calls Sao Paulo home. She has been a Brazilian judge since 2003 and an FEI 4* since 2017. She was a CCE/Eventing rider from 1975 to 1980, a jumping rider from 1975 until 1993 and a dressage rider from 1993 to 2015. Natacha has been a trainer for more than a decade and lectures about the importance of flat work. She has been a CDI judge since 2012, judging competitions around the world Jane Weatherwax (USA) FEI 4* Jane Weatherwax is a U.S. Equestrian Federation and Equine Canada S judge, as well as a 4* rated judge licensed by the FEI. She judges extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has judged continental championships in both Europe and North America. In 2007, Jane had the honor of judging the Pan American Games in Brazil, and most recently judged the 2012 Olympic Selection Trials at Gladstone. Jane has been an active trainer and instructor for more than 35 years, and has brought many horses up through the FEI levels. Besides her busy judging schedule, Jane finds time to give several clinics around the U.S., and enjoys working on her lovely garden and vintage home. Isobel Wessels (UK) FEI 5* Isobel has been judging internationally since 2000 and became a 5* in 2011. She was officiating at the European Championships in Gothenburg last year and has regularly been a Jury member for Ponies, Juniors,

Young Riders as well as the World Breeding Championships for young horses. On a daily basis she trains horses and riders at home and in Europe as well as being the dressage coach for the New Zealand Event Team and will be with them in WEG this year. She still rides herself and is currently competing her horse Chagall in Grand Prix. Isobel loves the riding and training and is convinced it has helped her to develop her judging skills. Lois Yukins (USA) FEI 4* Lois Yukins is a USEF S Judge and an FEI 4* Judge. She grew up in Birmingham, Michigan with a background in Pony Club, Hunter/Jumper, and Dressage. She rode for the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She now lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea in Massachusetts and has trained several horses and students throughout all levels. Lois is USDF Chair of the L Education Program, and a member of the USDF Judges Committee, as well as a member of the USEF Dressage Committee and the Licensed Officials Committee.
