Officer s Letters President s Letter Over the last month, we have had more than our share of negativity at the club: a physical altercation, members undercutting decisions that were made at meetings, and an overall lack of respect for each other. On more than one occasion, various members were observed pouring themselves double shots. If a double shot is poured, a double shot must be paid for. It was never a goal of mine to be president of the, but since you have entrusted me with this responsibility, then I m going to speak out in defense of the club. Things seemed to be going smoothly all summer some very successful social events, popular Thursday nights, etc. Perhaps this cursed presidential election has us all irritable. In that vein, let s make America kind again. I would never take it upon myself to tell you how to feel about another member, but I do ask that you treat fellow club members with at least a modicum of respect. Ok, Mom will get off of her soapbox now. I wish to thank John Finnell and crew for getting the Queen of Hearts drawings off to a great start. I also want to thank all of the members who have stepped up to do meals on drawing nights. It sounds like we have the first 4 or 5 covered already. Great work! Finally, a huge thank you to the campground members, who voted to increase their own fees. The dues cycle beginning in April 2017 will see campground fees go from $100 to $125 and in April 2018 they will go to $150. Annual fees for any new campers are now $200. I am immensely thankful for their recognizing rising utility costs and this need. Thanks, Amy R. Vice President s Letter By the time you read this newsletter, we will have had two Queen of Hearts drawings. The pot continues to grow. Come out and buy a chance to win big money. The drawings are held every 2nd and 4th Friday s of the month. Thanks to John Finnell for running the drawing. Also, plan on coming out early on drawing nights for dinner. Each night of the drawing we will have food service. If you are interested in hosting a dinner, please let me know and we can get you scheduled for one of the drawings. Also if you have an organization that wants to host a dinner as a fundraiser, please let me know. Remember it is your club, come out and enjoy it. ~ Mike C.

Officer s Letters / Club News Auxiliary Secretary s Letter Trunk or Treat was a great success. Thanks to all who participated, and a special thanks to Brenda Jones and Tina Martin for organizing the event. Please stop by on December 1, at 6:00pm to help the Auxiliary decorate the club for the upcoming holiday season. Please bring a snack to share. Breakfast with Santa will take place December 10. Breakfast will start at 9:00 with Santa arriving at 10:00. Please mark your calendar, the Auxiliary is going to meet for a holiday dinner on December 13. We will send details once the date becomes closer. We plan on meeting at 6:00 and dinner to start at 6:30. Our next meeting will take place March 14, 2017. We hope that you can join us, as we discuss the upcoming Easter Party. Upcoming events: December 1, 2016 - Auxiliary decorates the club for the holidays December 10, 2016 - Breakfast with Santa December 13, 2016 - Auxiliary Holiday Dinner March 14, 2017 - Auxiliary Meeting April 8, 2017 - Easter Party Sincerely, Brenda B. Operation Payback Well it s the day after the pork chop dinner and I am feeling really good about the support we have been shown in the past week. Thanks to Rags, Suzy, Sonja, Paula and Brenda D. the dinner was a success. We will definitely be able to do a mailing this month. Some special requests are for blankets, holiday decorations (even lights as most of the accommodations have electricity), laundry pods and the usual snack type food. Moving on, we will be having the Lasagna Dinner and Silent Auction on November 11. This is also Queen of Hearts drawing night but is open to the public so if you have family or friends who would like to attend please bring them along. Anyone who has items they would like to donate for the auction, please let me know. Anyone with a business with the option to donate gift cards etc. these would also be more than appreciated. We will be needing a couple bartenders for that night so anyone willing to do that please contact me at tmkreagan@comcast.net or 971-5817. Sincerely, Mary R.

Club News 2016 Fall Bocce Ball League Season Comes to an End Congratulations to the Fabulous 4, Rattling Balls, and the 2 for 1 teams for a winning season! Some very impressive play by many of the players this season. Thankfully, Mother Nature was kind to us (for the most part) this season which contributed to a minimal amount of cancelled games. Tim Strutz (as well as many of us) would like to thank everyone...from the Bar staff, Grounds Crew, and Pam Tackett for keeping the technical and beer sales a great success. A big thanks to all those who helped with the food preparation, service, and sales from the Shack! In regards to the winnings, we had a payout to 3 places: 1st - $360 2nd - $216 3rd - $144 Team Record Win% GB Home Away PF PA Fabulous 4 13-3.813-7-1 6-2 141 84 Rattling Balls 10-5.667 2.5 6-2 4-3 112 95 2 for 1 10-5.667 2.5 5-2 5-3 115 93 Just One More 10-5.667 2.5 6-1 4-4 110 93 Forever Young 10-5.667 2.5 5-3 5-2 97 71 Pray for Rain 11-6.647 2.5 4-4 7-2 118 91 The Big Lebocce 10-6.625 3 5-3 5-3 126 94 Che Cazza Putane 10-7.588 3.5 5-3 5-4 141 116 Ball Busters 9-7.563 4 5-4 4-3 131 104 Love is a Bocce field 8-8.500 5 3-5 5-3 105 106 Great Balls of Fire 8-8.500 5 4-5 4-3 105 107 Bi Polar Rollers 8-8.500 5 3-5 5-3 102 96 3 Martin s and a Pig 8-8.500 5 5-3 3-5 123 115 Joanie Loves Bocci 6-10.375 7 3-5 3-5 102 126 Crazy Be-occe s 6-10.375 7 3-4 3-6 80 106 Shenanigans 6-11.353 7.5 3-5 3-6 107 124 Abe s Babes 4-11.267 8.5 3-5 1-6 86 117 Forgetabocce 4-13.235 9.5 3-6 1-7 74 132
