All entries must be signed by the owner or authorized agent and accompanied by entry fees and Non-WSH Membership fees. Failure to sign an entry form may result in a fine of $50.00. Parents or guardians must sign the entry form for any junior exhibitor, 17 & under, as of December 1, 2014. Entries must be postmarked by the closing date of July 4, 2015, or late fees will apply (see entry form). Your blank, signed check, on file at the Show Office will satisfy this requirement. Make checks payable to TWHBEA of WA - Show. 2. The Show Office will require a copy of both sides of your horse s papers, or a copy of a lease agreement or purchase agreement, to be held by the Show Office of permanent record. Please note, the USDA may ask for copies of your horse s papers make sure to bring an extra copy with you! 3. *All TWH exhibitors must have a WIWHA Amateur or Youth card to show. Please have all forms completed and make your check payable to WIWHA. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. *All WSH exhibitors must be a member of WSH or pay a non-member registration fee of $3.00 per judge/show, to be collected by Show Management and paid to WSH Show Division. *All Senior Exhibitors (18 & older) showing in WSH Equitation classes must have an Amateur card from USEF or WSH, or pay the non-wsh fee of $15.00 4. All participating TWH trainers must present cards from NWWHTA or pay a non-member fee of $25.00 for a guest card. A list of paid members will be provided to the Show Secretary to ensure compliance. 5. The trainer of the horse must sign all entries. If you do your own training, you must sign as trainer. 6. Please list all riders for each horse on the entry form. If additional room is needed, provide the information on a separate sheet and staple it to the entry form. 7. The listed weekend stall and tack fees covers from Thursday at noon to Sunday afternoon. Early arrivals are considered anyone arriving prior to 12:00 P.M., on Thursday. Early arrival is not recommended but is available for an additional $20.00. If you need to arrive early, please contact Karen Lanpher (kal48@frontier.com). 8. Helmets: All TWH riders, 13 years of age and under, are required to wear a protective helmet while riding/showing at all times on the show grounds. This includes the Leadline class. Protective helmets are required for all jumping classes. WSH classes All juniors riding in Leadline, Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation sections must wear an approved ASTM/SEI PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR while mounted. In Hunter or Hunter Seat Equitation, spurs, crops, or bats are optional, except SPURS are prohibited in Leadline Equitation. See WSH Rule Book. 9. Persons failing to pay their bill at the show will be charged a $30.00 service fee. Any account not settled after billing will be turned over to WIWHA for collection. Suspensions may apply. 10. 11. To receive a pre-entry refund, a copy of a Veterinarian s certificate will be required and should be filed with the Show Secretary. 12. Working out of trailers is permitted, however, a fee of $15.00 per horse per day will be charged. The facility requires clean up of your working area or you will be charged a clean-up fee of $50.00. 13. No tri-pods will be allowed in the arena or stands while the show is in progress. 14. Additional shavings can be purchased from the show office for $12.00 per bale. 15. WSH A horse becomes one year old on January 1 st following foaling. CLASS INFORMATION 1. All TWH qualifying classes will be $16.00. All TWH Championships will be $25.00. WSH classes will be $12.00. 2. All TWH classes will be conducted by the rules of WIWHA Rulebook, available at the show office. All WSH will be conducted by the rules of the Washington State Horsemen Rule Book. 3. TWHBEA Versatility Rule Book will prevail in all Versatility classes. 4. Management has the right to cancel or combine classes with less than 3 entries. One horse classes may be cancelled unless sponsored. 5. All classes must be entered before the session in which the class takes place. If you add classes at the DQP or Gate, a $5.00 fee will apply. 6. When classes are entered and the horse does not go into the class, the class must be paid for unless the class is cancelled or a scratch slip is filled out at the Show Office. No refund will be issued when the horse is excused by the judge or DQP. 7. Gate holds (3 minute maximum) will be granted for just cause upon notification of the Paddock Manager. 8. Country Pleasure horses must abide by flat shod rules in TWH Pleasure classes. 9. Novice riders classes and 11 & under classes may use 2 hands when riding English or Western on any horse. Class will not count for NWRHP Points. 10. Time-outs may be granted by the judge when the exhibitor pulls into the center of the arena. Time-outs will be granted for replacement of shoes, replacement of broken equipment, or in other circumstances where the judge finds valid reason. 11. Although precautions will be taken to protect property and exhibitors, none of WIWHA, TWHBEA of WA,, Show Committee, or The Tacoma Unit will be responsible for any articles that are lost, destroyed or stolen. 12. None of WIWHA, TWHBEA of WA, the, The Show Committee, or The Tacoma Unit will be liable for any injury sustained in any way to exhibitors, employees or spectators. The warm-up area is a restricted area and, as such, is not open to visitors. You must be a trainer, rider or groom to be in this area. 13. Management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, cancel entries, disqualify exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries and/or cancel premiums without claims for damage. Poor sportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Management reserves the right to require anyone who behaves inappropriately to leave the show. 14. Year End High Points: To obtain Year End High Points, you must be a member of the TWHBEA of WA. 15. To qualify for performance championship classes, horses must have been entered and judged in a 2-gait preliminary class to qualify for a 2-gait championship; or a 3-gait preliminary class to qualify for a 3-gait championship. Youth Riders must show in a youth preliminary class to qualify for a youth championship. 16. Prizes: Ribbons will be awarded 1 st through 5 th place in all classes:

A request for added classes may be considered by Show Management. Added classes will follow the last class on Saturday night, in the order received. Added classes must be sponsored in advance. USDA RULES 1. All Tennessee Walking Horses, regardless if showing A System TWH classes or B System WSH classes, are required to go through DQP inspection. All horses presented for DQP inspection must have saddles removed and braces off prior to being inspected. Additionally, all winners must unsaddle and remove braces prior to post-show inspection. A designated tack area will be provided near the DQP station. Please bring a marked saddle rack with you. For the safety of all exhibitors, saddle racks will only be allowed in the designated tack area. 2. If exhibitors plan to stay in the warm up area for more than one class, they must check in with the DQP Secretary prior to each class. 3. No chains or action devices are allowed on flat shod horses or horses that will be shown in any flat shod class at the horse show. 4. Only three people per horse are allowed in the warm-up ring. This may include the trainer, the rider and one handler/groom. This will be strictly enforced. 5. If you are excused by the DQP for any reason other than having an unruly horse, you will be disqualified for the remainder of the show. No refunds will be given by TWHBEA of WA or. 6. If you are dismissed from the show arena, either by the judge or steward, both the rider and the horse must report directly to the DQP inspection area for follow-up inspection. TACOMA UNIT RULES 1. The facility is closed until 12:00 P.M. the day before the show begins (Thursday, July 9). For early arrival, please contact Karen Lanpher, kal48@frontier.com. There will be an additional Horse Hotel fee of $20.00 per extra night and/or day, depending on arrival time. 2. A $25.00 fee will be charged for any lost padlocks. Do not lose them! 3. Any campers, RVs or vehicles parked near an electrical hook-up will be charged a hook-up fee, whether or not it is utilizing the available electrical service. 4. areas include the Main Show Arena, The Curtis Arena, 176 th Warm-up Arena and the Watkins Barn. The Joan Mitchell Arena (Rodeo Arena) and the round pens are not for our use. 5. No vehicles are allowed inside the white picket fence. 6. Children and dogs will be asked to leave the grandstands if they are running loose, screaming, barking, or spooking horse show participants. 7. Staked out horses are prohibited. 8. Exhibitors are not permitted to leave nails or hooks in the wood of the stalls. 9. Parking must be at least 30 feet away from the buildings at all times. Roadways and fire lanes must be kept open and clear at all times. 10. Do not dump manure in any unauthorized area. Doing so will result in additional fines.

11. No electrical cords may be run from the barns to RVs, campers or trailers. 12. SMOKING IS PROHIBITED in buildings, barns, kitchen and arena bleachers. 13. All dogs must be on a leash or confined. This rule will be enforced. 14. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited without permit. 15. The haul-in fee is for daytime only. If staying overnight, you must purchase a stall rental.
