The water depth of the competition course is six (6) feet measured from one (1) meter to five (5) meters at the starting end of the course and four (4) feet measured from one (1) meter to five (5) meters at the turn end of the course). The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of certification is on file with USA Swimming. Pool is bottom striped, wall targeted, has non turbulent lane lines, a fully automatic Colorado Timing System with backup and a 12 line scoreboard. Up to 12 lanes will be used for competition, and course set up will be determined based on the number of entries. Continuous warm up / warm down area is available. Parking will be available in the Middle Tyger Parking lot. Additional parking designed for special events has been added, and swim meet participants are encouraged to park in this area. Rules: Spectators will be limited to areas designated. Bleacher seating will be available. Spectators may bring chairs, but the chairs cannot be used to reserve seats between sessions and may not be placed in front of the bleachers. All other areas will be considered the deck, on which only swimmers, officials, coaches and meet personnel are allowed. This meet shall be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming, SC Swimming Rules and Regulations, the YMCA code rules and regulations, and information herein. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Athlete Eligibility: Entry Fees: Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. Age is to be determined by the first day of the meet. All swimmers and teams must be currently registered members of South Carolina Swimming and USA Swimming, Inc. Swimmers may not enter any event in which they have a South Carolina Championship Meet Time Standard or faster time(swimmers will be governed by the standard in their age group as of the South Carolina Short Course State Championships). Age groups are defined as 10&U, 11 12, 13 14 or 15 18. Swimmers age 19 and older will be governed by the 15 18 time standard. No time standard for 8&U swimmers. If a swimmer whose 11th, 13th, or 15th birthday falls on or after this meet, but before the State Championships, has State Championships times in his/her younger agegroup but does not qualify for the State Championships in the next older age group, he/she may enter this meet in the next older age group 12&U or Open, whichever is applicable) in any event in which he/she has achieved the qualifying time. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. Friday: two event entries Saturday and Sunday: five (5) individual event entries (including time trials) each day Meet Format: Clubs should submit a single check payable to Y Spartaquatics Swim Club for the full amount due. All fees must be paid prior to any swimmer entering the pool. Meet management reserves the right to adjust number of heats and lanes, entry limits, and warm up times based on number of entries. - All events are timed finals. - All individual events 200 yards and above, including freestyle, are deck seeded, positive check in events. - Any swimmer who is positively checked in for an event and does not swim will be ineligible for his/her next individual event. - Adds to pre seeded events will only be permitted on a lane available basis. No heats will be added for the event. - Distance events are all events 400 yards and above. Swimmers must provide their own personnel to time and lap count for distance events. - All Friday night events will be swum all girls fast to slow, followed by all boys fast to slow. - The Senior 1650 Freestyle on Saturday and the 1000 Freestyle on Sunday will be swum fast to slow alternating girls and boys. - There will be a courtesy check in for the 12 & Under 200 Butterfly, Backstroke and Breaststroke. We will close the meet once our timelines reach four hours for each session. Coaches must be coach members of USA Swimming and must have their credentials visible at all times while on deck. A coaches meeting will be held fifteen minutes prior to the start of the Saturday Morning session. Timers: Timers from participating teams are encouraged and appreciated. Each swimmer in the distance events of 400 and over will be required to provide a timer, and if desired, a person to count. Time Trials: Time Trials will be conducted after each session at discretion of the Meet Referee. Time Trial fees must be paid upon entry at the Clerk of Course. Safety / Warm Up Procedures: The South Carolina LSC Procedures will be in effect. A copy of the SCLSC Warm up Procedures will be available in the coach s packet and posted around the pool. Coaches are advised to closely supervise their swimmers at all times. Diving is permitted only during specific warm up times, as announced. Running and horseplay are both prohibited. Glass containers and bottles are prohibited inside the pool area. The use of pull buoys, paddles, kickboards, bands, tubing and other equipment is prohibited. Meet Mobile: Palmetto Pro Timing will make every effort to push results to the Meet Mobile app. Times posted to Meet Mobile are unofficial. The meet will be published to Meet Mobile no later than ninety minutes before the first event starts.
