September 4, 2014 WJW/WJT Families, Well...we have finally arrived. The first week of games is upon us. The Blue teams will kick things off with a Saturday night game at Boulter Field...Flag games starting at 2:20, C at 4:00, B at 6:00, and A at 8:00. The White teams will, unfortunately, be split this weekend as a result of the lack of a C team in Penfield. The B and A teams will be playing in Penfield at 11:30 and 1:30 respectively, while C- White will be playing in Victor at 11:30. There will be a handful of weeks where teams are in different locations due to team alignments. While this is unfortunate, it does allow the kids to play rather than have a bye week. Come out and cheer on the Blue and White squads in their respective games this weekend, and be treated to our cheerleaders who have been working hard on their sideline cheers as well as routines. It'll be fun to watch everything coming together for the first time this season! As a reminder, please ensure that you are adhering to the WJW-WJT and AYFCL Codes of Conduct and remember, this is youth sports and we all need to serve as role models. While it's fun to see our kids compete, it's also important that they are learning sportsmanship, and what it takes to be a good winner, as well as gracious in defeat. Enjoy the action this weekend! Go Webster, Tom Widell September 6-7 th Weekend Game Schedule ****Please note, game times and locations are subject to change. Here are the options for those wishing to participate: 1) NEW Delta Sonic Program Delta Sonic has started a new program this year. We are no longer selling tickets for car washes, oil changes, detailing, etc. Instead, we are selling $5 gift cards that may be used for any of these services. You will pre-sell the gift cards, at a price of $5 for a set of 2 $5 cards. The buyer will receive 2 $5 gift cards (total value of $10) for a price of $5. You, the seller, will earn $3 per set of Delta Sonic $5 gift cards sold. Note: The gift cards must be used within 60 days for full value and only one per card may be used per visit. After 60 days, the cards drop in value to $2 each for another 60 days. After the 120 day period, the cards will expire and have no value. 2) Bruster s Ice Cream Bruster s Ice Cream has a coupon book that we will sell for $12 each. The coupon books will have 10 buy one, get one free coupons and two $2 off any ice cream cake coupons. This is up to a $45 value in coupons per book! You will pre-sell the coupon books, at a price of $12. You, the seller, will earn $3 per Bruster s Ice Cream coupon book sold. Note: The coupons do not expire. The order forms and details will be posted to our website by this weekend. You will have until Wednesday, September 24 to submit your orders to coordinator.fundraising@wjw-wjt.org should you choose to participate in either of these optional fundraising programs.

End of Season Celebration: As many of you have probably heard by now, the Board, after taking into consideration the feedback received on several surveys, has decided to forego a formal banquet this season in lieu of individual team parties. Among many things, the feedback received pointed to the challenges of hosting such a large organization in one area and cited the fact that the most impactful time for the participants was the individual breakout sessions. The awards that have typically been handed out at the banquet will instead be presented during the Webster vs. Webster game in two weeks on Saturday, September 20 th. This includes the Kathy LeFrois and Distinguished Service Awards, so please submit your nominations as soon as possible. The Board will provide support for this event by providing your team with both trophies and a yearbook for each participant, as well as a stipend to be added to the monies collected to fund this event. Please feel free to reach out to us should you have any questions. Pizza Nights Coming Soon!!!! WJW-WJT is starting a new program Thursday Night Pizza Night.
