Below are a few tips: - Try to avoid major changes to your feed ration. Any changes should be made slowly over the course of several days. Be consistent with your feeding schedule and amount each day. - Keep the dust down in your pens to avoid problems with pneumonia. - Clean pens/stalls daily to manage mosquitoes. - Keep projects under fans and keep them cool. - A clean, fresh supply of water is a MUST. Check troughs/water buckets daily. - Control parasites as appropriate. Project Meetings If you have suggestions for livestock project meetings you d like to see offered this fall, please pass along your ideas. I ll be happy to work with project leaders in planning and coordinating meetings. I look forward to hearing from you. 2016 BCJLS Rulebook Available The 2016 BCJLS Rulebook is now available online.
