Plenty of fun, drilling, and shooting. Additional Freshman/Sophomore Opportunities (League and Tournaments) Lake Zurich Frosh/Soph Girls Basketball Summer League *Our Actual Game Schedule T.B.A. The Lady Bears of Lake Zurich coached by Chris Bennett will be running a summer league for freshmen and sophomore girls again this year. The ACTUAL Monday and Wednesday dates we play are June 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, July 2, 7, 9; we will play these 8 Monday & Wednesday nights. We will play a total of 10 games, usually one per night, but there will be 2 of those 8 nights where we play a doubleheader. Games run from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm each night. We would like to have at least ten players to allow for appropriate playing time. We will only enter one team at the Sophomore level. This team will be a combination of frosh/soph players who sign up. Games will be played at Lake Zurich High School. Transportation is NOT provided for summer league activities. A member of the Cary-Grove coaching staff will be present for all games. 10th Annual District 155 Summer Shoot-Out (Our fundraiser; ALL players are needed to play and work both days) Dates: Friday, June 13 th & Saturday, June 14 th All Levels Varsity, Sophomore/JV, and Freshmen There is a five game guarantee in bracket format play. We will randomly match teams up in brackets but we will try to keep teams in the same conference from playing each other. We will take the first 16 teams for Varsity and Sophomore and the first 12 teams for Freshmen (some schools may not be able to have every level play in the tournament, depending on sign-up date). Freshmen will play at Prairie Ridge and includes any player entering the 9th grade (fall of 2014). Sophomores (JV) will play at Cary-Grove and grade levels include incoming 9th or 10th graders (fall of 2014). Varsity - will play at Crystal Lake South and grades for varsity include all levels as long as it is 9th-12th (fall of 2014) Cost: None (we are a host school) * However, please indicate to me on the registration form if you want to play in this tournament, so I can get rosters together. * Any parents who may be willing to help work during this tournament in the concessions stand or taking tickets, please contact Paul Lichtenheld at plichtenheld@d155.org. MAINE WEST SUMMER LEAGUE *OUR ACTUAL DATES/GAME TIMES T.B.A. This league will run from June 10 th -July 17 th. Games are played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Historically, we ve always asked to play on one night each of the five weeks due to the distance traveled. Our request has always been granted. The Maine West Summer League is designed to give optimal summer development time in a highly competitive atmosphere to teams and their coaches. The summer league consists of a total of 10 games, 2 each night we are there. Cost: $55 (When official game times and dates come in, they will be posted on the Girls Basketball web site and the 8to18 athletics web site; look Varsity Maine West Summer League Schedule 2014). Community High School District 155 Summer Camp Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement In consideration of the undersigned s participation in Community High School District Program [put name of camp(s) in blank] we acknowledge that we understand the nature of the activity and that the undersigned student is qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in the Program. We fully understand this type of training involves a risk of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis, and death and these and other risks may be caused by the athlete s own actions or inaction.
