Georgia is coming off a 197.525-196.825 loss at No. 1 Florida last week, while the Bruins defeated Arizona State, 198.050-194.850, on Sunday. Georgia and have combined to win 13 of the last 15 NCAA titles, including seven by the Gym Dogs and six by the Bruins. Georgia- History This marks the 52nd all-time meeting between Georgia and with the Gym Dogs holding a 35-16 advantage. In 16 dual meets between the two schools, Georgia is 12-4. Georgia has won the last four regular season meetings, including a thrilling 197.900-197.875 win over the eventual national champion Bruins in 2010 and a 196.175-195.750 win last year in Los Angeles. This is s third trip to Athens in as many years. In the 2011 NCAA Athens Regional, the Bruins and Gym Dogs placed first and second, respectively, to advance to the NCAA Championships. Noteworthy scored a 198.050 in its win over Arizona State last Sunday. The last time a team posted a 198 was in 2009 when Georgia beat Florida 198.200-196.650... Georgia and Florida lead the country with 20 consecutive rotations of scoring a 49.0 or higher... Noel Couch has competed in the all-around in a school record 22-straight meets. She set a career-high with a 39.450 against Kentucky on Feb. 18, and nearly matched it with a 39.425 at Florida last week... Based on scoring averages, Georgia ranks fourth overall, third on bars, fourth on beam, eighth on floor and ninth on vault. Last Time Out Georgia posted its second-highest road score of the season, but it wasn t enough to beat No. 1 Florida as the Gators prevailed 197.525-196.825 last Friday at the O Connell Center. The Gym Dogs lost despite their highest road vault score of the year and their second-best road bars, beam and floor scores. Kat Ding had a 39.450 in her third straight all-around, and Noel Couch nearly matched her career-high with a 39.425. Rankings Georgia enters the month of March and the final two weeks of the regular season ranked No. 4 in the GymInfo Top 25. This week s edition of the rankings is the first this year to use Regional Qualifying Scores, and the Gym Dogs have an RQS of 196.830. In the event rankings, Georgia is No. 2 on bars with a 49.260, fourth on beam (49.150), sixth on floor (49.170) and ninth on vault (49.240). Individually, Kat Ding is ranked No. 1 nationally on the uneven bars with a 9.905 RQS, and she is tied for fifth on vault with a 9.910. Gina Nuccio is tied for 10th on bars with a 9.875, Shayla Worley is tied for 10th on beam (9.870), and Noel Couch is tied for 10th on floor (9.880). Couch is also ranked No. 15 in the all-around (39.240), and sophomore Cat Hires is tied for 20th on vault (9.875). jumped to No. 3 with a 197.025 RQS, and the Bruins are ranked first nationally on vault with a 49.450, second on floor (49.265), third on the balance beam (49.220) and fifth on the uneven bars (49.205). has three gymnasts ranked in the top 10 on two events. On vault, Vanessa Zamarripa is ranked second, Olivia Courtney is tied for fifth, and Samantha Peszek is tied for seventh on beam.
